For me Pogba is an exciting talent with lots of potential ... but he's not yet up there with the best on the world stage, although 'world class' is pretty subjective.

 

Different types of player tbf Ginge. As a DCM, Kante is definite world class.

 

Struggling to think of any outfield players who would get into a world XI from the Premier League.

De Gea walks in no problem.

 

If they are using a DM, Kante has to be in there surely.

In all seriousness, i think KDB would get in and maybe would chuck alderweireld in there.

Theres a few vying for a couple of other spots who are very good but i think there are better players there.

 

He's good at what he does but Busquets or Kroos in that holding midfield role piss all over that boy.

 

I wouldn't agree to be honest.
Twice Kante has arrived at teams in the PL who had finished mid table the season before and lead them to the title.

 

Not a bad shout.
Can't think of any CB who is unarguably better than him at the moment.

 

I'm biased of course ... but if I was a manager and was told I had a blank chequebook to build a side, Kante would be first pick as defensive midfield - nobody covers much ground, makes as many challenges and is quick enough to get up with every attack ... phenomenal little player .. there was a joke when he was with us that we had Drinkwater in the centre with Kante either side ... you have to watch him week in-week out, like Leicester and Chelsea fans have, to really appreciate just how much work he gets through ...

 

100% - Kante might be that player in 4 years time. Not yet.
