If you are so poor we can help. Although we support a team, Watford FC, based in the affluent South East and the club insist on their players being at least millionaires, we do care about those only dressed in rags. As we speak I am organising a whip round so we can send some pork scratchings to you. Our resident poster from Scotland is urgently sourcing some deep fried mars bars although they may be cold by the time they reach you. Do they still rely on horse and carts in that part of Wales?

Just looking at some of the recent comments, some are making remarks that have nothing to do with this thread. If you just want to insult each other take it elsewhere please.

Er. No. The figure is 42000, not 26000-42000 and refers to 2019, the presumed date of Brexit. within 18 months, not within 6 years.
However , I presume you are content with a shortage of 26000, a figure which would be a matter of shame to anyone with decent principles, before we get to 42000.

aber, As I have said before this is a forum that relies on posters doing their own censoring. I made the comment I did because it is a thread entitled the Effect of Brexit, and although it is a subject that will produce strong views from both sides it is not an excuse for people just to throw insults back and forth.

Juncker has finally admitted the EU's passport free Schengen Zone has benefitted terrorists who are able to travel freely across borders. Member countries are not impressed with the eurocrats insistence that they drop temporary border controls later this year. Countries want the 'temporary' border controls to last for another four years at least. Schengen has proved ideology and practicality are completely different things.

The problem is SH. that your picture of the World knows only winners and losers. The winners invent the dominant philosophies and then impose them on the others ie. the idea that 'anyone can make it if they work hard enough' - because this philosophy feels good to the winners. This would work if you really had social mobility. However Britain has the lowest social mobility in the Western World - and this has got measurably worse since the 80s. Those born in the 1950s had more chances of upward mobility than those born in the 70s or 80s - that is measurable fact, not a fantasy invented by me. It is also true that the difference in life expectancy between regions in Britain is larger than anywhere else in the Western World - a full 12 years between Hull, at the one extreme, and the stockbroker belt of Surrey at the other. This is not a statistic which can be used to describe a 'successfull' country - Britain has had 200 years since the advent of the industrial revolution to solve the economic differences between regions yet has failed to do so. It should not be necessary for some Britons to 'get on their bikes' and go to other parts of the country in order to carve out a living - which you know as well as I do.

I actually agree with most of your comments. I'm afraid I have never had the ability to change the fairness of the country just had time to make sure that I did not remain one of the 'strugglers'. My priority is the welfare of my family within hopefully a system which helps those unable to help themselves.
    Some of them are misbehaving.

I'm not a Cologne fan SH. My favourite German club is St. Pauli. Most Cologne fans are drunken clowns and chavs, who speak German in a similar way to how scousers speak English.
