The British Pound continues its steady rise against the USD. Also risen against the Euro.

There's plenty of hard working families who are living on the breadline due to high housing costs and low incomes. Some of whom would be no worse off if they gave up work and went onto benefits, but they don't want to do that.

For you to sum up that sector of our society with a glib "Go and get a better paid job" and "Stop whinging" sums up just how out of touch a large sector of our countries more senior members truly are. You're ignorant of the reality mate.

Not only that, he finds the surge in food bank use "rather uplifting". http://uk.businessinsider.com/jacob-rees-mogg-food-banks-rather-uplifting-2017-9

and the huge rise in the numbers of people seeking support at food banks under the Tory government is, according to him, because people now "know they are there." I sometimes think his aim is to become the first PM to be assassinated before being appointed...

"The real reason for the rise in numbers is because people know they are there and Labour refused to tell them."

It's got nothing to do with benefits sanctions and the bedroom tax then......

I have no problem with this group but of course you knew that already.

There should not be a choice of work or benefits. Benefits should be reserved for those that are unable to work not unwilling. The present system where millions in work receive benefits is wrong. It just subsidises the employers who should be paying more. There is a whole culture of benefits now that was not there 40 years ago.

Whilst I would hate to stop you from making yourself a laughing stock, nevertheless I would be grateful for and answer to the fact that your assertion that the 42000 missing nurses is an inflated union claim is in fact from a govt. document. Perhaps you might tell us which union is running the country?

I doubt you`ll get an answer dude, but I`d like 2 see him try.........added 2 that the fact he`s not strong enough 2 break out of his own bubble, its probably impossible for him 2 think with such a lack of oxygen

ps just noticed he`s tried but failed so I suppose we gotta go on his lack of facts as his final answer

another silly post from our guest 'hard done by' who wallows in self pity instead of improving his lot. I suppose living in your deprived area expectations are so low you are resigned to managing on subsidies from those working in SE England.
