For you to sum up that sector of our society with a glib "Go and get a better paid job" and "Stop whinging" sums up just how out of touch a large sector of our countries more senior members truly are. I have no problem with this group but of course you knew that already. There should not be a choice of work or benefits. Benefits should be reserved for those that are unable to work not unwilling. The present system where millions in work receive benefits is wrong. It just subsidises the employers who should be paying more. There is a whole culture of benefits now that was not there 40 years ago.
