I use the app in my Android phone - or rather, I did!! The last week it crashes and comes with an error message 'cannot contact server' or similar. There have been numerous issues with the site recently which is somewhat frustrating........
I also had problems recently. Kept saying the server wasn't recognised and then when it did connect, I wasn't able to log in. I can only assume it was due to the sheer volume of internet traffic marvelling at how similar Dave Sanchez is to Ledley King.
I had the same issues a couple of weeks back, probably due to traffic like you guys. This problem, however, is more of an HTML coding glitch. There's nothing visually different about the appearance of the site, except for it all being shifted over to the left so half the page is missing. Small bug, but annoying all the same.
Real Madrids new Wonderkid, Assensio will miss tonight's game as he has a pimple on his leg - caused by shaving his legs!!!! I wonder what the likes of Dave Mackay would make of that?

Congratulations to The Cleveland Indians. Last night, they beat the 20 straight wins American League record of The Oakland A's last night, the one depicted in the film 'Moneyball' with Brad Pitt. Decent movie if you've not seen it. The National League record is also 21 and has been held by the Chicago Cubs since 1935, so this is no small thing.
I was thinking that "my team" Philadelphia Phillies were doing a West Ham,but, darn it,Huddersfield didn't turn up!
Although no film ever surpasses the book and few get that close, Rotten Tomatoes gives it a 94% approval rating with an average 8/10 score. You'll enjoy it.

It's also the club where you might need an offshore bank account due to fiddling your image rights deal.
Bizarrely, this is the second sporting story of the week involving 'Moneyball'. Our opponents in the League Cup, Barnsley, have been taken over by a Chinese/American consortium and Billy Beane, the General Manager of the Oakland A's and ground-breaking implementor of the Moneyball philosophy, is to have a seat on the board. Now, Billy Beane may not know too much about football but he had enough about him to screw a few extra million out of us on the transfer of Vincent Janssen and Barnsley are producing lots of talent that they are selling on. It will be interesting to see if he does better than FSG who tried to get him to manage the Red Socks and have mostly made a right bollocks of their transfer business in soccerland.
Our old friend Damien Comolli uses/d the moneyball system for transfers. I think that it actually has something going for it, as long as it's not the only thing that goes into the choice of players. If we need a right-back, then don't sign a striker, for example. Stats are always limited when it comes to this game, though. They can tell you how many goals a player gets or how many chances he creates, but they can't tell you why.
