Marveaux imo. Scored one and set up two against Gateshead.

 

I picked 5-man, but despite his brilliant history against the mackems, I actually don't expect him to score tomorrow (go on Shola, please prove me wrong), and for any other game I'd pick 2 strikers, neither being him

 

5 man midfield for me like;

Depending on how the game goes look to bring on Ba for Offsideobi & Marveaux for Jonas/Obertan at some point.

Except I'd play Marveaux and Jonas slightly more inwards, so they can switch between crossing the ball in as wingers, and playing just behind Shola to support him. If Marveaux and Jonas play too wide it will just leave Ameobi too alone.

 

That looks quite tasty too. In fact probably better than mine.

 

I still think we should look to try and control the game in the first half. Then hit them in the second half

Ba. Same line up as the one against Arsenal, including Raylor (he's probably a better full back than Ferguson in all honesty what with his experience and all).

Then we have 3 brilliant impact subs: Marveaux, Sameobi, Obertan - destroy them on the counter attack

 

Aye it'll be the same line up. Not too worried about Raylor as Guti was fantastic last time in getting back and helping out in time.

But yeah, agree, Sameobi Marv and Obertan for the impact subs!!

 

I'm fine with Raylor, he's decent in that he uses his experience to make up for his lack of ability, has a bit of pace (some of the runs he made attempting to support Jonas), and the excellent support he'd get from Jonas (who should play the 90 mins IMO, that's how we threw away 3 points last time).

Devastating on the counter (hopefully).

 

The Mackems may have had time to prepare for one Ameobi but two Ameobis will be too much for them.

 

I've gone for 5-man midfield, with barton central and Obertan on the right

 

Tevez! Failing that, Sturridge! Failing that, Ba! It'll probably be a five man midfield though.

 

I'd say Harper. He started his career as a youth striker but moved to goalkeeper. However just recently he played upfront in a friendly against a glasgow team. However for some bizarre reason he wasn't n the poll?! I voted Sammy although I wouldn't mind a 5 man midfield (which is the best option in my opinion) or Besty could play there for me. Anyone who said Demba Ba go **** off and support stoke or blackburn we can't play king Shola and that pile of **** together it doesn't work! 5 man midfield seems like a good choice like!
