I fear my roll of thread creation may come to a juddering halt the game after Saturday, should we win/draw.........but.........who knows!?
http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/15...t_potential_Van_Dijk_partnership/?ref=mr&lp=5 Hoedt talks about it could be good to form a Dutch partnership with Van Dijk at the back....then mentions the other CBs (good save, Wesley). Once again he talks about Saints as a first step...we all know this is how it is, but he has mentioned this before....honesty isn't always the best policy when you have just joined a club. Get those manacles ready, Les.
He mentions we have 3 good CB'S besides himself and Virgil... Yoshi, Stephens and... Gardos or Bednarek? And which one is he saying isn't good. Maybe gardos has really just vanished now.
I'm a little bit Meh about this season, I had never heard of MP before we were linked and when I looked at his record I wasn't too impressed. Our transfer window while not a disaster wasn't great either, yes we kept VVD but at what cost, we didn't strengthen in the one area that was glaringly obvious we needed to. Our start to the season has been very poor considering the opposition and the fact we've played 3 home games out of 4. Still on to the Palace game, i'm hoping we play with 2 up top I believe we should have the quality to get a victory but if we set up and play like we have in the first 4 games i can only see a loss. My prediction if we have a slight change of formation and get people closer to Gabby 3-1 Saints. If there is no change we will struggle and Woy's reign will get off to a flyer.
Let us cut out the faffing about with backwards and sideways passing and go direct. Get the ball and hoof it up field. I would play 4 2 4:- Soares Stephens Hoedt Bertrand Lemina Romeu Boufal Austen Gabbiadini Long If your midfield is crap bypass them.
**** it why not, at least it wont be our usual borefest. When did we sign Jane Austen? Good signing I think, she'll have more about her than Charlie has for the last year.
"It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a football club in possession of a **** scoring record, must be in want of a good striker or attacking midfielder."
Should of hired Fat Sam as a manager then? I despair of football fans. And football players. And the professional game itself.
Crazy is right mate. It's a sickness, supporting a football team. Still, win on Saturday and I'll be in love with the game again.
I'm quite concerned about the lack of atmosphere at Saints now. Last season it went so downhill and this season it has continued the same. No atmosphere even trying to be started and not really anything on the pitch to get the crowd going either. Huddersfield away was also the worst atmosphere I've ever experienced at an away Saints game. I think there was two chants for OWTS and that was about it, nothing at all otherwise. The Hudds fans on the other hand were the best home support I've seen in the Prem.
I think it's been poor for much longer than that personally but agree it got even worse last season. Heard similar about Hudders too hoping for better on Saturday, are you going? Maybe we need a good old fashioned relegation battle to get the crowd going again
