    Fellaini does a backheeler.............

    Manchester United 2-0 Basel

You won't see many more comfortable halves of Champions League football than this. Manchester United are making winning look easy. Put it this way, Marouane Fellaini has just done a backheel

Good of Rodgers to surrender to PSG. Make Neymar feel at home.

well it sort of sets celtics season last yearis a small context. we would have thought we would lose ourselves at PSG so its not much context but i fully expect celtic to be whacked most of the group

I find the juv 3-0 loss interesting.... thats a pasting.

Wouldnt read to much into the scoreline at Parkhead.
The CL is all about the money for Celtic, they have pulled a few great results out down the years but their earnings from the competition will keep them at the top in Scotland.

Yet again destroyed the myth that Celtic Park is a fortress of some sort though.

Yeah bigtime, apparently Brendan has lead them to their worst two European home defeats, his style of play might be nearly invincible in Scottish football but outside of that they're as weak as ****.

    its not his style.

Its him getting scott sinclari and that dembele lad and the rest of the league being semi pro.

    His acheivement shave been

    1. qualify for CL in 2016/17 from play offs

    2. Qualify for CL in 2017/18 from play offs....

3......... ermmmm.... delivered on expected basic domestic expectations.

its a terrible league. he got through the cl qualifiers so he's a shoe in to wlak another league title cos that league is piss easy.

And they can't really complain about the financial divide because its exactly what they're doing to the rest of the Scottish clubs!

Brendan Rodgers' teams don't have enough grit in them to soak pressure up against these talented sides, miles too much space for opposition of that quality.

Yeah, Brendan has found his niche in Scotland, like Arsenal they qualify for the CL most years, Brendan like Wenger would class that as success, but it's only ever going to be financially successful obviously on differing footballing levels.

Its a shame to see historically big clubs like Celtic celebrating qualifying and not competing in a tournament. I know its the nature of football with all the money in the big leagues but its still a shame, and you do feel they could be slightly more competitive in the group stages if they had a more tactically savvy manager.

There's no doubt they are a massive club but because of the state of Scottish football they live in a small club bubble in terms of the quality of player they opt for, they're in a no win situation in many ways and whenever they do sign a good player they inevitably sell him after a season or two.

Still it's not the winning but the taking part that matters.<whistle>

Imo it's a trashing at home. Celtic should pose some issues at home for clubs with high intensity game and crowd.

No such thing now.. fan tries to kick Mbappe so I reckon they will be playing behind closed doors shortly.

If they lose by 5 at home... imagine the score line away.....

As soon as the draw was made, celtic had one task. To try to pip Anderlect to 3rd place and the Europa league spot. They are never going to compete with the likes of PSG and their 400mill plus frontline.

Not convinced they can do it under Rogers though. He did **** all in Europe at Pool too!!!

On holiday in Spain at mo so watched Barca-Juve in a Spanish bar, rather than listen to plastic Mancs tell me how they are best team in Europe after beating FC cuckoo clock.

Tales of Barca's demise were premature. Was a good open game in first half but once they went 1 up they dominated a very good Juve team.

Messi was absolutely sublime. He wants his Balon'dor back!!

    He's under the supporters microscope.

If he plays as he did before Barca came looking for him and hopefully scores the winner, no problems.
But, if he looks like he can't be arsed and it stands out a mile he'll get plenty of stick and deservedly so.
