Given the history of our beloved club I am with you John .. I too have got a sneaky feeling we may just get something from this .. how many times have we followed a totally inept performance with one that surprises us all .. it's all in the selection for me tonight .. get Meyler and Irvine in the middle .. our two scrappers to dominate them and win the battle .. if Campbell is fit get him in up top with Bowen and Grositski on the flanks .. 5 man defence giving us a bit of solidity .. I'd go for Mcg Aina Tomori Hector Dawson Kingsley Meyler Irvine Grositski Bowen Campbell Sneaky 2-1 win .. please no Henriksen
Home from Australia for a visit. Getting train down to London for the game today, and I manage to get to the Sunderland game before heading back on Monday. I couldn't make Fridays debacle, but thank heavens for small mercies and all that! I've not seen out of Fulham this year on the tv, and to be fair even after Fridays clusterfuck it's hard to give a proper judgement on how this team will get on this year. I agree with the general concensus that this is a game for Meyler. Only thing I expect is us not to lose interest and heads to drop if we go a couple behind. In my opinion that's what happened on Friday and it was not pleasant to see the lack of effort. I would be happy with a scrappy 1-0 win. I will be putting a tenner on Dawson 1-0. I live in hope, that's what kills ya! UTT
Next time I won't put subtle jokes in the team selections if it's going to cause ructions. I think we should actually go for this: Mcgregor Aina Dawson Hector Clark Bowen Meyler Larson Groshitski Toral Dicko Diomande
I don't think Clark did anything to get dropped in my opinion. Seems like a good lad from Hull who could develop into a solid championship player, lets give him a real go.
I'd like Lenihan to be given a chance. The two defensive midfielders need to be able to cover the full backs if they are going to bomb forward. I'd play Meyler and possibly Clark for that reason. Maybe Irvine rather than Clark but he seems to be good going forward and I don't want to limit that. McGregor Lenihan Dawson Hector Kingsley Meyler Clark Bowen Toral/Irvine/Henriksen Grosicki Dicko
From 11 to 12 to 13. As much as I respect Meyler, what a **** situation when we have to pin our hopes on him returning to run our midfield!! I know Stewart is still to come in, but just emphasises how we are still 3 or 4 quality players away from being serious contenders (defence, CM, striker, plan b) ... and that's banking on a change of luck on the injury front too. Still, good to know Allam has £35million still under his mattress along with parachute money, and all the interest he's been creaming off since taking over #gift Chances of a stream tonite?
I'm willing to run on and take it if we get one. I scored direct from a corner in my Sunday league days, so how hard can a poxy penalty be?
I reckon I've got as much chance of starting tonight as Lenihan has.I'd go with: -------------McGregor ----Tomori Dawson Hector Aina----------------------Kingsley ----------Meyler Irvine -----Bowen Dicko Grosicki or -------------McGregor ----Tomori Dawson Hector Aina----------------------Kingsley -----Larson Meyler Irvine ---------Bowen Dicko or if he daren't risk Tomori -------------McGregor Aina Dawson Hector Kingsley -----Larson Meyler Irvine ----Bowen Dicko Grosicki
I almost can't believe I'm saying this but what did Dio do wrong ? He was given his chance and he did well , then he gets dropped
