    I'll take that as you've got nothing to back up your original assertion about the predictions of these economists then.

    Thanks for clearing that up <ok>

    I prefer to take in a balanced view of what is served up as news mate.

    I don't read any red tops, as they all have an agenda and twist whatever the story is, to suit that agenda. The Mail being the worst exponent of the art, the disgusting rag that it is.

    The Mail and the Express print stories that their readers are interested in, the same goes for Guardian and Daily Mirror readers that want to read a left wing bias. I don't know what the BBC would do without the Guardian guiding their 'neutral' staff.

    They tend to print stories that are either made up or doctored, that hammer home the drip, drip message that they want their audience to take on board to reaffirm their existing bias.

    Here's a classic recent example

    More fantasy, puerile nonsense.

    Ironic that you talk about arses being handed out, when you've just had yours served to you on a silver platter over Gibraltar's flag....

    Disagree, they print articles that people like you would rather hide. The Guardian is equally biased.

    Why would I want actual news to be hidden?

    They play to their audience, who are generally people of your generation - baby boomers - who like to read headlines like this;

    Yes, I agree but The Guardian is equally selective and biased. I actually read a very wide selection of news sources, the only paper I buy is The Sunday Times.

    The Guardian has it's own angle, but in fairness it doesn't try the same tactic of dressing up twisted versions of news events as agenda driven garbage, it's pieces tend to be open opinions that are just that - opinions.

    I rarely buy a paper at all these days, occasionally I'll buy the Independent or the Times on a Sunday.

    The Guardian is extremely biased towards a left wing angle. It will not print certain news and will give other news stories excessive prominence. It is probably more dangerous because the bias is not so obvious.
