Bullard is going to be a test case, if so the PFA are going to want to win for their members. The last paragraph is a worry.
"Adrian Hoggarth, head of employment law at London solicitors Prolegal, said: 'The sacking of a player is almost unprecedented in football.
'Clubs see players as assets that can be traded for a fee, and only when a player becomes a liability will a club seek to cut their losses.
'Other clubs are likely to watch any appeal eagerly. If Hull's sacking stands, it could open the floodgates.' :emoticon-0107-sweat

BBC are saying Ipswich are in for JB, but facing competition from PL clubs, presumably that means DQPR. If he really wants to play football, then he won't be short of opportunities but ............

To much at stake for the PFA, therefore don't expect this to go to court.
Allams look ready, willing and able to take it all the way.

If Jimmy takes this to court, his missus will find out about the hookers in the room and that will be him out on his ear. Combine that with the need for him the get his registration released in the next two weeks and the PFA not wanting to risk losing the case and I suspect there will be no further action.

You may be right but if it is going to open the floodgates then i can see the PFA having to defend one of their members.

SPOT ON OLM. I will say Now......Bullard has gone. Expect DQPR to be his next port of call. The PFA will not want this individual to soil there membership. The fact that JB had a run in with NB should be enough for any doubters out there. City may well have an allie @ PFA HQ in Richard Jobson.

So what if it does open the floodgates ? Like any Union, if the member is bad and has broken the rules they get rid.

The article doesn't say that Bullard has done anything re appealing the sacking, or considering bringing a breach of contract/tribunal claim, merely that if he did, it could set a precedent, which it could.

Come what may he has now gone. If he sues the club and wins he would be awarded what he would have earned had he not been sacked (less any earnings he has had from any new employer)

I was at that gig and it wasn't bad, but I was never a really big fan.

I'm also nervous about Jobson's next venture, as apparently he's planning on making the film Quadrophenia 2.

After all the legal proceedings that have taken place i'm pretty sure the club have the grounds to give JB the sack. I expect him to appeal but doubt he will be successful in his case. The club seem to have done things the right way and providing they've been given the right legal advice they should have a watertight case against JB regardless of him appealing or not.

There are plenty of firms who think they have a watertight case only to end up paying out.
It could be JB wantewd 5 million, Allams give nothing. Then meet somewhere in the middle.
