    i was in 2nd year, there was this totally fit french teacher and i banged her, anyway back on topic when i got home it was all over the tv and citv wasnt on cos of it so as you can imagine i was less than amused

    When the second plane hit we left the office on Renfield Street and went to a TV shop on Gordon Street to watch the drama unfold live.

    I was mainly concerned because I was going to Cancun on holiday less than a week later and was worried about the ****s keeping their airspace shut. Turned out ok.

    I was plotted up in The Fishmonger's in Southgate, went to put a bet on in Ladbrokes next door, & when I came back, the whole pub was watching the end of the world on telly. So I settled down to watch the show.

    I was in the office and one of the blokes came in and said there had been a bombing in Wall Street, we turned on the TV and saw the first tower already smoking. Not long after the second plane hit as we were watching.

    Sod all work got done for the rest of the day, one of the women in the office said it was an accident but I told her to remember the date* as it would be the start of World War 3. Rather an exaggeration but looking at all the sh*t that has happened since it's come close. I went home and watched it all night, the updated footage from different cameras, people falling out of the towers, the eventual collapse etc. I've not been comfortable watching any footage since.

    *Obviously the date to remember was 11/9.

    I thought the bombing of Baghdad during Operation Shock and Awe was much more entertaining. Spent many a relaxing late evening with the lights out watching Baghdad getting lit up. Very pretty.

    I watched on television as the second plane hit and I thought to myself, these buildings are going to vaporise into dust soon due to fire causing structural damage and eventually a pancake effect will pulverise the steel and concrete building to dust.
