Play it all in the summer. Its when all the international tournaments are now, so why no just have qualifying in the same period when there isn't a tournament happening. Stop disruption to clubs who are paying these players and footing the bill to get them home again Half back doesn't exist anymore, its either a wide midfielder or a full back now. I play as a left midfield (2nd worst position on the pitch imo (after LB), zero credit for doing anything). Would much rather be playing CF.
Good idea, makes sense Dayum I even looked up what the position was called it's been that long since I played, pesky outta date info ... yeah I just knew it as wide right not half back. I got a few goals a season and got to send in glory passes, also took pen corners often as I had a powerful and accurate shot so scored off of them sometimes, but those positions and deffo FB and deeper lying midfielders just have to do a bit of everything and never get any gloire despite the mad effort every game
You have 3 (I think) 2 week breaks during the season for international football where no league games. Means league can put extra games in those weeks so you'd finish season 4/5 weeks earlier. Means players can then go play international football once season over, get usual quail games / Torbay out the way then have usual break before pre season. Wont ever happen but if you tied it in with smaller tournaments / qualifying groups. Should be two tier tournaments like CL / EL. Top 20 Europeans compete for 1 tournament, next 20 for rest. Might give some teams like hungry, Scotland, Lithuania a chance of wining some games and getting tournament experience. Means only play 4/6 qualifying games before a small 16 team tournament etc so players don't play 14 pointless qualifying games for teams like England Spain France Germany etc
I'm guessing Karius and Lovren come back into the team. Keep the front 3 as they are. I would love to move Can as the number 6, then have Gini and Coutinho ahead of him but I reckon It will be a straight swap for Gini and Couts.
Yeah I think we'll line up like that, I agree though Can in for Hendo then play Chamberlain and Coutinho or Wjinaldum and Coutinho.
Think we will see Gomez @RB & maybe Robertson LB. Wouldn't be surprised to see both Chamberlain & Couts start but which one plays as one of the front 3 and which in MF is anyones guess. Also possible that Sturridge starts to rest Firm.
I'm will to be you lads the team will be more or less the exact same as v city with just Lovren in and coutinho to bench. You lads might be right about gomez I don't know.... but i'm going to be handerson will play. it is TOO SOON to play Ox in this game. he should not have come on v city either.
I don't see our front 3 changing at all. I didn't want Coutinho to play yet, but the performances from Wijnaldum and Henderson was so pathetic that Coutinho needs to play
so you defending that incredulous decision too.... the stupidity of it.... did the lad no favours my view was this. If you wanted 3 at back you had gomez to stick on so can could have stayed at CM. there were lots of things klopp could have done which he did not.
TBF they'd be fine in this game considering it's at home, with 11 men, and not against the most expensive squad in history
TBH if I were Klopp I'd have walked the team off the pitch since the ref's blatant inconsistency and home team bias was a clear and present threat to the safety of my players (Stones vs Mane, TAA vs time added on)
