Change striker to goal scorer and you may have a credible thread.

ALL of the best strikers win trophies for their teams. Even Shearer won a PL trophy before chasing his little dream.

Right now he's a million miles away.

How many goals at Wembley? Not winning, genuinely interested.

9 goals v Leics must make him a flat track bully according to your reasoning.

    The Graeme Hick of footie?

    This.

But Spurs players have a mental block in big games for England and Spurs.

See chelsea games at Wembley, euro 2016 etc

Stéphane Guivarc'h is arguably the worst striker to ever pull on a France shirt yet he has a World Cup winner's medal, which would logically make him the best striker in the history of the French team instead of Benzema, Mbappe, Griezmann, Lacazette, Papin et al.

No way in answer to the OP. Will never be a patch on Shearer and Lineker for starters not to mention strikers from even further back

If Kane left Spurs (for say a big club) would you still think he is so great

Neither of which make the "Trophies = Better" argument credible, given how it's riddled with flaws.

I didn't say every striker that wins trophies is better than those who don't, you're just putting words in my mouth. If you can't understand it then that's really not my problem.

Let's put it to the test! Start a thread with a poll saying is Walker still a great player...this will answer your question.

That's your exact quote, so I'm not putting words in your mouth by any stretch of the imagination.

It's really not that hard mate.

The BEST strikers ALL win trophies for their team.

That is in no way me saying winning trophies makes you the best striker.

This sort of thing is found in pretty much every IQ test you'll ever take, if you're struggling with it then perhaps just move on.

Didier Drogba is a great exponent of this thinking, very much a big game player. <ok>

Defoe has been a very good striker but he could never be mistaken for a big game player.
