Aye but if you'd paid to see a band you knew were **** you can't be upset about them being **** when they start playing. And booing in their faces isn't going to make them into superstars.

they weren't in the first place mate and never will be, still i love my team, even though they are ****

I don't even think they're that bad although the team selection and formation was crap today. Pick the best eleven and the best formation for them and they're decent I reckon.

Best way, if it's making folk that misserable why don't they just stay way? They make it worse for the team and clearly worse for themselves.

I agree pal. If I went today I would of been one of them but what's the point in fighting with your own fans and then could get banned for life <laugh> ffs.

With mine fella. Kicked off in the south stand after their second goal when the lad who scored went down by the post with what seemed to be a hamstring injury. Stewards had to get involved separating some frustrated fans. They were boo'd off at half time and full time and during the second half were booing Rodwell when he got the ball - he was rubbish along with many others so harsh to pick him out. It's gonna be along time before we are challenging for top 6 on these home outings.
I saw it all from West stand very alarming really embarrassing but typical feeder league fans actions. I understand the frustrations but honestly so childish - hope nothing was thrown at their player.
Nough of yesterday now we must get 3pts on Tues and probs will as will be a low crowd and zero expectation's -formula for a Sunderland win.
If not we could even see BSA return by christmas as I think SG may be going -a step too far for him comming here.

This is a sad indictment of the modern day so called 'football fan'
I can put hand on heart and say no matter how bad things have got, I have never booed an individual player and certainly never the team.

We had a reputation for being some of the best fans in the country, but that is quickly going down the pan because of a few mindless idiots that you would normally see hanging around shops in gangs gobbing off and intimidating shoppers.

I am betting that our new arrivals are already wishing they never signed for Sunderland <doh>

This is not a new phenomenon. Fans have always been fickle, me included. I remember Reid signing Niall Quinn and thinking "what a donkey!" Now if someone asks, I would say he's probably one of our beat players in the last 25 years.

Having said that, the difference now is that we're all being taken for mugs by all connected with football: the players, owners, Sky and the Premier League. That's what's annoying everyone so much.

And I don't blame anyone for leaving early. It's not like the old days when players(a few local) tried but just weren't good enough. Now we have players who, in the main, don't give a stuff. Why should you stay and support apathetic, well paid, employees, for that's what they are.

Unfortunately, the days of the football club and the local community having a common bond are long gone. More fool you if you wish to stay and cheer on those who plainly don't care

Bottle was thrown at the player, it hit him, barely touched him but that's not the point.

Nah, mate, this is more than being fickle. There's now an antisocial element at out club. Those kids wearing hooligan clothing in the south stand are turning our club to ****. Coin throwing is not fickle.

The fact that the club has been run like a shambles says a lot 40 years of hurt for some supporters. Why do we ever want to be in the premier league ? there has been no ambition, and I pity the new young supporters going through what we have suffered. I was shocked for the first time in 40 years of what I heard mind at the SOL yesterday, something has to give and that is Short needs to leave now, but of course it is different to the Murray days the finance involved. The one thing is true is that not ONE single quality player was brought to this club in his reign, Defoe was too late in his career when he come here and too many poor signings made. Some want success like Abromavich, the Man c and Man u owners and some want to just make money. There is 40 matches left though and we can still make the top 6, we must hope they turn it around soon though.

It's been going on since the 70's man.
It's nowt new. I've still got the scar from Stamford Bridge.
It never really went away, they just hid it for a while when Thatcher was hammering them in the courts.
Football has always been tribal & always will be. And there was always a uniform too, not club colours but still a uniform.

Boo hoo the old man has actually seen us win something. You don't even know you're ****ing born, many of us have never seen any of win anything. Pisses me off when the older lot complain about a lack of success. You could die tomorrow having seen us won something, many can't so thank your lucky stars instead of being permanently ungrateful.

Disagree, it went on, then the game cleared up significantly, now it's descending back to the sewers again. It hasn't been a constant imo.
