While he's a good player, by signing Sakho the club are telling De Boer he's already on borrowed time. He's trying to teach prop forwards to waltz. You can't do that in a league like this.
It was a weird decision to hire him in the first place considering the type of players they have and his preferred style. He seems to have now decided to use a 'kick it at the big guy's head' tactic, which may have helped him keep his job as they actually looked an EPL side.
