Have I mentioned how much I hate these things? Because then we wouldn't have our annual Kovacic and Brozovic stories.
He missed a sitter with a header, but his overall game was very good, especially for him. Covered lots of ground and his runs often made a lot of space for other players, particularly Eriksen. Involved in some very good moves and was a little unlucky at times.
Pissing about a bit and we let Everton create a few chances. Would've taken a bit of gloss off if they'd have scored. Son replaces Kane. No debuts today, then.
I agree. Sissoko has played really well today (Did I just type that - perhaps I have stumbled into some alternative universe). If MP makes a player out of Sissoko he will be the best manager the world has ever seen.
He worked hard, can't disagree with that. Despite some good off the ball runs, he was offside at vital times, put a piss easy cross out for a goal kick, made a **** lay off to Kane, and missed an open goal, to name a few.
His overall contribution more than made up for his errors, though. His runs from deeper positions caused them a load of problems tactically and they never dealt with it. Gueye and Schneiderlin often didn't seem to know who the hell they were picking up because of it. He overloaded out wide quite a bit, too. He wasn't amazing, don't get me wrong, but he was used very well and had a solid game. Still can't control the ball and his passing's average, but it was much, much better than a lot of his performances.
He was better than normal, I agree. But that doesn't take much. I think he looked good today, as did the whole team, because Everton didn't turn up until the last 8 minutes.
3-0FT. A better performance and we put together some good moves and looked pretty solid, controlling the game. But Everton were awful today. We hardly got out of 3rd gear. Roll on Wednesday. COYS
