Tadic and Long have had an impact since coming on, unfortunately we play too much in front of the opposition.
That is an admirable sentiment - until you look at our December and January fixtures. When at the moment I can see us getting almost no points from that entire period
That (or something like it) would be my favoured option. I think you deal with the lack of creativity in the middle by playing down the flanks. Give Tadic a chance on the left and use Gabbiadini and Redmond in the other two positions behind Austin, allowing the two of them the freedom to switch positions. Austin isn't a Pelle type target man but he's pretty strong and holds the ball up well so could do a job there.
The most concerning aspect is we have been tactically outplayed from the start and no Plan B. Watford look better set up and want it more than us. To date, we do not seem to have improved in any aspect from last season.
Some facts. The following players are not good enough: Redmond. JWP. Tadic. Redmond (double). Davis. Boufal.
