We need to remain more focused to see this game out. We have thrown 3 points away by not being able to do this in our last 2 games.
2-0 HT. Very respectable performance against a tough side without some of our important players. Need to keep up the hard work early in the second half, as I'd expect Koeman to change things. They were falling apart at the end and we didn't take advantage, so I think he'll make a sub or two.
Alli needs to remember he hasn't made it yet, there is a long way to go for him, so stop ****ing about and put that ball in the back of the net!
I'd like to see Llorente and Aurier on around 65mins. It'll be good for them to get a feel of the team before Wednesday.
Excellent first half by Spurs but as others have said we should be out of sight. As good as Dele is, he does miss quite a few chances and god knows what he was trying to do with that golden chance. Defensively we have hardly given them a kick, Davison settling in well and Alderweireld, being just Alderweireld, Big mention to Ben Davies who seems to get better with every game, some of his approach play and crossing has been excellent. Everton will surely come out firing so as long as we hold our nerve and defend well theres no reason why we cant score at least another goal. COYS
People were tipping Everton for a crack at the top 4, can't see it myself, you've been all over them and should be 3 or 4 up and they seem to lack a bit of pace
You'd think Spurs fans would be happy leading 2-0 away.I'm not.Should be 5-0......and they were easy chances too!
Slow start to the half and took a while to find any sort of rhythm. It's taken a moment of brilliance (luck) from Kane and a tap in from Eriksen to get us moving, as the overall play hasn't been too inspiring. Lots of sloppy mistakes, particularly from Sissoko. Poor first touches and decision making has resulted in him giving the ball away, and was offside offside at a crucial time. But to be fair to him, he's put himself about and been a lot more involved than normal. There's very little going on down the right at the moment, meaning we're trying Davies' side, and even that's resulting in lots of short intricate passes where we either get dispossessed or switch the play once more. Hopefully we won't sit back and let them come at us, as we should really be focusing on finding our rhythm this half. However, I think we'll need to make some changes to do so.
Everton take off Ramirez and Klaassen and introduce Calvert-Lewin and Davies. Two good, young players from the bench. We need to start sharply and focus.
What the **** is Keane doing there? Really put his keeper under pressure. And it's 3-0! Kane! Paying for that mistake.
