I was worried you were going to tell me off. I'll take that. I agree with the majority, it's not that I don't see what Davis does - I just don't think it benefits the team enough to keep him there. Our success of recent seasons has been built on a strong defence, we've never really been prolific scorers - we've given a few teams a good hiding though. I've never been a huge fan of having too many 'tidy' players in the team, hence my Gaston comment though I admit that it was quite a stupid way to make my point. Agree about JWP, would also like to see Hojbjerg and Boufal given a shot in the team over Davis depending on how we're lining up in terms of formation.
There is more chance of the snooker player bagging a hat trick than our SD. Think you won't be needed to call your local ink studio...
JWP generally gets his shot on target, it just seems to get blocked a lot of times. Maybe he should think about belting it instead of trying placement
There are some fair points in your argument and I wholeheartedly agree about have a number 10 that takes risks. People go beserk with flair players and complain that they are not consistent, however how many flair players are. They need so magic and unpredictability which often means that they have good and bad days. I think Tadic has been the best of this for a long time, yet his shooting does let him down. I think Boufal has the potential but we don't see him feature much.
Glad you have judged and approved ! Do you think Ward-Prowse has the creativity for that position, I am not sure.
...how about a pub the 'other' side of the ground? Be good to meet up, but my snail mate took 45 mins to walk back to the train station in the first game so you see what I am dealing with..... We normally go to the 'Dell Bar' which is part of the ground on the Kingsland side, just need to show match day ticket (home) to get in The beauty of it is you can leave at 2:50 and still be in your seat in any part of the ground by 3pm. And if you walk close to the stadium you don't get wet
I took my whole family to St Marys for the first time last season - unfortunately it was to the Hull game, which barely counted as a football match. Tomorrow, we journey to St Marys again. We need to do better or the fam may never come with me again :/
What is it about Hull? I took my wife for her one and only game at St Mary's back in the Championship "on our way down" seasons.... it was 0-0. I remember her pointing at the aeroplane and the back drop of the sky over the Itchen Stand. Yep, it was that good.
https://southamptonfc.com/news/2017...o-mauricio-pellegrino-pre-southampton-watford A long segment this week. MP2 always seems to give thoughtful answers. I particularly liked his response to the question of whether Virgil was now 100% committed - he could have given the easy answer: "yes he's now back and fully engaged", but instead he said "he has to show it on the pitch - not just in words". I read it as a warning to Van Dijk: "don't think I'm going to make it easy for you".
If there was a competition for the worse Avatar / sign on name combination, you would be high on the list!
Finding anything current on Twitter is virtually impossible, it is being swamped by tweets on a spam advert by @Sure! #NeverMoreSure competition for a VIP box for the game, who would actually want that?
Lol I agree. Also, I think Bertie reads these forums...see him do the smile with his hands when he scored?
