They get first pick of your income. Once they're paid you get the rest <ok>

The games bid came after the plans for the stadium were agreed, the stadium build is completely unaltered by the CG games decision, as Anderson has already confirmed this afternoon <ok>

Nope. They have a guarantee of payment, the annual repayment is liable to by somewhere around £15-18m p.a. and most of that will be covered by a naming rights deal to add to the other £5m a year naming rights gift that USM have given us for the Finch Farm rights.

welllllll that is fair i suppose.. we also built pretty models and ran up a huge expense bill :bandit:

That premise that nothings happened on the docks cos your stadium hasn't started is bascially untenable sorry... If it was attractive at all then a stadium would not be a prerequisite to start.

As for the funding model what I said was LFC spent money that G&H nor LFC had on that stadium plan (as well as other things of course) YOU have a **** tonne of cash as demonstrated by 45mil of siggurdson.... We NOW have the same and more. you can easily afford to have your owner let you plan a stadium he had no intent to build and then shrug if it doesn't happen. We nearly went bankrupt cos we didn't have the money... that was the ONLY point.

Let me be clear. I don't believe your owner is insincere and i do believe it will get built.

2 things, firstly you nearly went bust as you allowed yourselves to bought via a leveraged buyout and when the CL money stopped arriving the model didn't work, and the football club couldn't fund the owners purchase debts.

Moshiri is an accountant and billionaire businessman. He's bought the Liver building for a start off, why? Do you think he can maybe foresee that area increasing in value in the coming years? and why would that be? The way he increases the value of EFC as a club is to remove the elephant in the room for the club i.e. the stadium. If he does that whilst at the same time making it an iconic, world class, riverside facility that can be easily self funding, then he's in the pound seats.

Yep he's using the stadium, which he has no faith in so won't put any of his money into, as an excuse for others to invest in the area and increase the value of the real property that he will put his money into.

What's not quite about that like, as that's exactly as it transpired.

Moshiri is into making money and he's pretty good at it - just ask Usmanov ;)

He's not bought Everton as a trinket, he's bought it because he knows that with the right investment he can make some money out of it when he chooses to dispose of it some day. Same as FSG. They're not football philanthropists, oil states or dodgy despots seeking Western respectability, they're in business, and in business to make money...............

FSG built that meccano stand instead of following through with the SP plans, as there was no profit to be had in the latter due to the cost.........build it cheap and get a return......

It's a more complicated issue when your stadium has history you actually want to remember

Sorry mate I think I've confused you. When I said the North Docks development was linked to the games coming, I didn't mean the building of the stadium was linked to the games. As you rightly say the stadium build was always going to happen regardless of the games. But the build must have feasibility for athletics as that could still happen.

You've got to laugh at Joe though if he's really come out with that today. Safe in the knowledge [probably] that we won't get either games he's keeping everyone sweet with his 'I wouldn't have let them spoil the stadium lads. I didn't even want the athletics there ...' <laugh>

Joe saw the CG as his legacy, and I think he used the idea of it to smooth the stadium idea through the council as well.

I wonder if they'll take a flyer on Brum getting the games now and release the plans?

I think you're right on the first thing. The second - don't know. Birmingham are up against Victoria in Canada and Kuala Lumpar, who gets it out of those 3 is anyone's guess. The only certainty, which is what I presume you mean, is that Liverpool won't be getting the 2022 games so why delay releasing the plans.

Arsehole Wenger would disagree, he reckons we tapped the Ox up, and this from someone who met Mbappe in a Paris restaurant to discuss terms without his club's permission.<laugh>

Don't forget Suarez - ''Wenger said: “He was very close (to signing for Arsenal). We had an agreement with the player. We had been wrongly advised that he had a clause, with a minimal clause, but we had an agreement with the player. You can ask him.''

Rightly or wrongly it's how it works, we all know that. We wait to see what damage saints have done to themselves by snitching.

I do think Southampton have opened a can of worms this summer. Arsenal met with Mbappe, we met with Van Dijk. Lukaku even said he had spoken to Mourinho last summer and they would come in for him this summer.

What pissed me off is that not one of his audience of footy journo's pulled him on that or other times he's been at it, seems that same shower of twat's didn't mind hanging Klopp out to dry regarding VVD yet overlook other cases including Barca/Couthinho.
The FA never took Klopp's case any further because it would've opened a can of worms and highlighted just how widespread tapping up is.
