    There were far more half wits voting Leave, as the higher the education level the higher the proportion voted Remain;

    The level of higher education in an area was far more important than age, gender, the number of immigrants, or income in predicting the way an area voted, the researchers found.
    Age and gender were both significant but not as important as education level, the researchers found. Income and number of immigrants in an area were not found to be a significant factor in how people voted.

    Another interesting stat is that due to the age demographic of the leave vote combined with the current mortality rates in that age segment, that 40% of the Leave majority of 1.4m......are now dead.

    Rather ironic that by the time it actually comes into effect the entire Brexit majority will be worm food though.

    The baby boomer generations last 'gift' to the UK......

    Having lived most of their working lives with the benefits that the EU brought to this country, they decide whilst sat in their mortgage free homes, drawing their final salary pensions, that we should hark back to a 'better' time when there weren't as many Poles about........selfish old ****ers

    The hand car wash will die without Romanians, another sad side effect of Brexit :(

    Seriously though, don't you think your generation should have maybe given more thought to what your kids and grandkids wishes were in terms of staying or going?

    Why do people always assume that pensioners who voted to leave, did so for immigration reasons? Makes me angry

    I want to know when Britain left EFTA and joined EEC you left one trade group for another. The population had a vote to join the EEC and the people wanted to join with the richer European nations. Did the politicians tell the people that they were not voting for entering trade group and voting instead for a European super nation because they must have known what Helmut Kohl, GeorgesPompidou and Valerie Giscard d'Estaing wanted when the newspapers did not report that?

    What makes you think we did not think of our children and grandchildren?

    p.s.

    Two of my elder daughters did not speak to us for a couple of weeks after we admitted to voting for Brexit..... peace and quiet for a brief spell actually!!

    I voted leave because I wanted our laws to be passed by politicians I had the chance to vote for, and for those laws to be relevant to my country!

    Their incomes are vastly superior to ours.

    90% of eligible over 65's voted in the referendum, 70% voted for Brexit. Does this reflect a lifetime of political experience, particularly dealings with the EU over the last 40 years?

    I think it reflects a nostalgic Nationalistic, misguided, backwards view on the World personally, a rear view mirror glance to what 'things used to be like' without the honesty of the fact that they were a bit ****, no offence like.
