Ronaldo would score all the free kicks.

    Done and dusted.

Newcastle fan, so I'd probably say Ronaldo. Have him leading the front line.

I think Messi is the best player in the world, but think Ronaldo would be more suited for us. <ok>

Has to be Messi. Better temperament, more consistent, better all round player and doesn't have a tendency to go missing in the big games.

Messi for me just brings a whole lot more to your team. He has great vision and passing, which Ronaldo doesn't do, and he works a LOT harder for his team to win the ball back when he loses it. For anyone saying that he's too small or weak, does that mean the likes of Silva and Suarez are the same? I think the best possible view of how Messi would do in the prem is how Aguero does. Similar in size and strength I believe.
Before bringing up the Xavi and Iniesta argument, remember Ronaldo has the likes of Ozil, Kaka and Alonso as his playmakers, not a bad selection imo. Also look at David Villa. He's scoring roughly the same amount of goals in a team WITH Xavi and Iniesta, as he did for Valencia without them.

    No contest.

If it's a "Team" player you want and not a petulant child who downs tools when the going gets tough then Messi is your man.

Best player on the planet by a considerable distance.

    This <ok>

Ronaldo has bags of skill and scoring ability but is a spoiled little kid who throws his toys out the pram when not going his way.

Both are vastly over rated to be honest.

Decent footballers but not in the same league as Pele, Cruyff, Maradona, Puskas.

Thats dumb as hell, theyre still in the middle of their careers and football and general fitness has evolved to such a level that yes, they probably are better than those.

No, because he'd have been stretchered off to have his leg sown back on after a 'tackle' by Shawcross in the first minute.
