The two sides have met 144 times previously, Newcastle winning 52, drawing 47 and losing 45

We have visited the stadium of light 8 times previously, winning 3, drawing 4, losing 1.

We have never failed to find the net at the stadium of light.

Both sides have kept a total of 30 clean sheets against their rivals.

All in all the stats must suggest a score draw, but we all know that these go out of the window on derby day. Therefore I predict any result apart from a score draw

•The two clubs have never played out a goalless draw since the inception of the Premier League.

Law of averages suggests no score draw!!!!!!!

0-0 it is then. Whenever they come out with stats like this they end up being broken.

We've never beat them 7-4, so I'd suggest that result is long overdue ;)

If Gosling plays, then his only 2 competitive apps for Newcastle will have been Tyne-Wear derbies.
