I think this game will give us a good idea where we are this season. Both teams are tipped to be fighting a relegation battle with a few other teams and both on paper are evenly matched. We should find out if our defence is as bad as what most fans think it is because if the toon put 3 or 4 goals past us without reply then it will confirm just how tough it will be this season, But if we can score 3 or 4 ourselves or even win 1 - 0 and keep a clean sheet then i think we may be ok.....We have players that can score goals but do we have a good enough defence is the question i am interested in with this game....
I am going to my first game, been given a ticket. So looking forward to watching the new players in the flesh.
Fab Naughton ...Fernandez ...VDH... Olsson Fer.......Sanches..... Carroll Ayew..... Bony .....Clucas I'll also go with 3 - 1 Swans
I like the 3 CB system as it gives Naughton and Olssen more freedom to move forward. I know how long it takes to get over a stomach problem so Ayew on the bench and the same for Sanches as he will not arrive until Friday so no time to bed in. My team:- Fabianski Naughton, Fernandez, VDH, Mawson (Capt) Olssen Clucas, Carroll, Fer Bony, Abraham Subs: Nordvelt, Rodon, Rangel, Ayew, Sanches, Narsingh. No score forecast but think my team is good enough to beat Newcastle.
Clem wont play two strikers, He cant afford too as he needs one on the bench in case of injury.....We should have got another striker before letting Llorentte go but you know Jenkins he never does things right...
Yes i think your right Valley....Shelvey is suspended as far as i can tell and that is good news for us with his capabilities...
He's been playing two up front through the preseason and in our games since i.e. Abraham and Ayew but with Ayew's illness he may start Bony instead of him but still have Ayew on the bench.
