Can't disagree. I just think it's incredibly short sighted and naive. None of the 'replacements' have any significant EPL experience, firstly. Secondly, there's his well tuned understanding with Vertonghen. And lastly, 30 is no great age - especially for a CB of his capabilities.
Sanchez playing for Colombia tonight against Brazil. Interestingly he is playing left sided CB. His pace and power is incredible. Brazil just scored before HT. Willian with a wonder strike.
Aurier (supposedly) gave an interview to The Sun, pulled a few quotes from it, liking the guy already: “Statistically speaking, I am the most influential defender in Ligue 1 between 2013 and now. I have also won nine trophies with PSG." - Confident! “Tottenham are an ambitious club that plays good football and often finishes around the top of the Premier League." - Bigging us up, good lad. “I am 24 and have many seasons still ahead of me. It’s now down to me to fight, improve and enjoy some great times with my new club." - Liking his desire. “My salary is of little importance. I want to be with a club where I can have fun. If money was my main interest I swear that I’d have stayed in Paris. They offered me a very interesting contract — more so than the first one. But I have signed a five-year deal with Tottenham so I can experience new things and become one of the best right-backs in the world. And with God’s blessing I will achieve my aim.” - Sounds like he's taken a lesser deal to play for us and has the ambition to become one of the best players in his position - would already say he is to be fair but good on him for wanting more.
De Telegraaf are reporting that Janssen's done at Spurs, with Poch giving him an ultimatum on Deadline Day saying if he didn't accept the loan to Brighton he wouldn't get another chance in the team.
Aurier was on around £90k pw at PSG. I highly doubt he got a wage increase when joining us as that would've put him right up there with Kane and Lloris. He's obviously on the same or lower.
I'll try and feign surprise that some sites have decided the comments by Toby's agent are the catalyst for an exodus of our main players. Sort of like how Walker's move to City was the start of an exodus... Or how Danny Rose's long, drawn-out brainfart to The Sun was the start of an exodus... Or at least a dozen different players being in made up contract standoffs with the club was the start of an exodus...
Aren't there 10 Biblical plagues that must be visited upon THFC before pharoah Levy allows the exodus to begin ??
While not happy with Spurs suffering 10 such plagues, I can at least live with the current rate of occurrence (the exodus on that basis will be a long way away indeed) .
Written in jest regarding the Swansea set up and Bradley. But I take your point about being a guest and it seems an unwelcome one, so goodbye Not606 Spurs.
Swansea? You're a little lost I think. And btw you are welcome here, just not allowed to make the rules.
He's a winner..you can tell. Cant wait to see this boy in full flow..and i hope the press lay off him..i doubt it though..the mongrels
I didn't say you were not welcome just questioning your right to suggest what the Spurs board finds acceptable. We value our American Spurs fans so your comment was out of place on this board.
