He didn't go mad at the players/ manager like Lovren did. He just treated the board like total ****. Still going to be at least a month before he is even close to a game.

He can't possibly be anywhere near match fit after such a long lay off and don't expect to see him for another few weeks and possible see him playing some U23's games to get himself up to speed

If he's been training at a decent level, I wouldn't be surprised to see him start vs Man United on the 23rd September.

I'll wager a pound to a packet of pig poop that he misses Watford and is then straight back in.

Good to see he has seen sense and is back training. Also nice to see that the article (Jeremy Wilson) says he's not going anywhere until at least next summer. I really don't care if he plays or not, but if he does, he'd better be giving 100% or he will deserve the stick he undoubtedly will get and hopefully be dropped.

Because he's got a bit more class & doesn't want nor needs to rub VD's nose in it.

I won't boo him because i don't boo our players during the game. I won't cheer for him either though, that bridge is burnt; I will probably just ignore him. Of course he should play though if fit; he is world class - provided he can bothered to try, I wouldn't want him having to put himself out for us after all we are only the reason he gets paid

Probably the best case scenario for me is for him to get into the team and have a storming season and then maybe PSG or Barca put in a £100m+ bid for him next Summer.

God forbid they seek alternative employment and work to retirement age. That would be so unjust.

Don't want him back. Let him rot, we have yoshida Stephens bednarek and hoedt. Could buy another in Jan. See how he feels after 6 months of training alone, ideally being fined for refusing to play. Tell him he gives us 1 full season and can then leave. The longer he acts like a twat the longer he has to wait. If that means he leaves on a free so be it. It's his career he's wasting, 14m quid of ours wasted (Osvaldo, gaston?).

Get him back for a months worth of games and you lot will have forgotten any ill feeling.
Of that, I have no doubt.
He's been a pleb, but he can still come out of this okay.

Has he actually refused to play? Coutinho did and slagged the club and manager so they had to invent a back problem for him, Costa has refused to play (I have a bit of sympathy with him because of the alleged text) but as far as I know VvD has only said his head wasn't right and the manager decided not to pick him in the first team squad.

He's been difficult, but not on strike. He'll be back by the end of the month, just in time to tear the league up and generate some paper sales for January's window.

Save it mate, in 12 months when he signs for someone else, then the rage can flow. But for now, he is a rather useful employee......and a dick.
