It's Rickie. And bloke's a hero down these parts, class player who I'm sure could do more than a job in the championship providing his fitness is upto scratch.
I've been saying we should give him a go. No older than Defoe and he wasn't exactly a waste of time, Lambert won't be in the same shape as Defoe but on the plus side he's the right kind of forward that we need.
Loads of experience, will be good to have around the place if nothing else. If he can get and stay fit I'm sure he could be handy enough.
Where is the source for this mate? Noticed that the number 10 shirt is still vacant so there could be something in it. I actually think he's definitely capable at this level, would rate him as a better option than Vaughan to be honest.
Good player but he's been struggling with injuries for the last couple of seasons. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/go-horribly-wrong-rickie-lambert-13305289
Hope we give the lad a chance. If he's struggling on fitness and injuries, maybe a pay as you go contract and play for a full contract?
Hope your source is right as he would provide another option for us and be our target man and possible goal outlet - plan b
He is so much more than a target man mate, umderstably people have alwats seen him that way but he's a very good footballer too
This is Sunderland marra.... when have we ever done the 'sensible' thing ??? He'll get a 15 year contract worth £90,000 a week Seriously tho, his experience would be great around the young 'uns
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheick_Diabaté_(footballer)?wprov=sfla1 Would rather we looked at Cheik Diabate. 6'5 29 year old. Free agent. Absolute unit and good in the air Cancel that. He's at a club all of a sudden
My worry about penalties is that we've scored something like 28 in a row (competitive match penalties - not including shoot-outs) which is (I believe) a world record - we're due to miss one soon surely!!
