Just booked myself a ticket to South Africa in November. Going to catch up with old friends and get out to see some animals in the game reserves. Been 6 years since I left, so I'm really looking forward to going back. Might even drink some fine wine .....

I should have been flying off to Spain this coming Sunday, but have had to postpone it, owing to my wife having restarted chemotherapy. Taking the positives, I have moved the flights to next April, by which time she should have recovered enough to travel. #she'safighter

There is large support for such a link on the Island....not by me... because if you hate the disadvantage of living on an island, move to the mainland. In the decades this has been discussed, I am the only person I have ever heard who has pointed out the blooming obvious....tunnels have 2 ends....there is an obvious advantage to Islanders, but why would mainlanders want to be subjected to major disruption for no gain to themselves.
It's fine, us mainlanders will just forget to consult them about the wall we plan to build around the exit .
