Nah, anyone with any reference to Berbatov in their name would be swiftly banned from our board!

Pshhh. I bet he was a very very beautiful person. In other news Robbie Keane is apparently making his debut Saturday.

Only if we're equal business partners, I don't do well with bosses.

Berb and Skylarker have this weird gay relationship, the less you know the better.

2-0 United. Can't see us not picking up 3 points. Spurs are a good side but they are so so away from home and we are incredibly consistent at OT.

    I can't believe that stat.

Undefeated in 20 league games against Tottenham? That must be our best record compared to any other side we play surely.

Still can't see anything other than a win, though Tottenham did look impressive last night. They will score but I think we will have too much for them in the end.

I have a feeling Smalling will play at centre half with Evans. He is more commanding and more experienced at this level than Jones so he just edges it. Jones at right back. Hopefully Evra is fit to give the backline some much needed experience though otherwise Fabio will play and the oldest player in the defence will be Evans at 23.

Nani to start again with Young on the left, I can see Anderson starting again in the middle after impressing against West Brom. Cleverley was quiet but I think he may well start as well. If not him then Carrick? Rooney will start as he was our best player and looks like he is hungry for goals and I reckon Berbatov could come back in for this one. Owen seems to be injured so we have Macheda or Welbeck as back up.

Not sure what the injuries are like at Spurs but I gathered Modric didn't play last night so that he wouldn't be ineligible for Europe so he could well start on Monday. They have dangermen all over the pitch and Defoe looks right in form. I have always maintained along with Owen, Defoe is England's best finisher by a country mile. He is in my opinion the most dangerous forward Tottenham have and I was shocked last season when Crouch was more or less prefered to him.

    United 3-1 Spurs

MUFCOK - great name by the way.

Our injuries are pretty horrendous at the moment. We couldn't even muster 6 outfield players for the subs bench last night meaning we put 2 GKs on there.
Modric was injured (he went off in the Croatia game), rather than being saved for Chelseas CL campaign. He may be back on monday though.
We'll be missing Gallas and King, as usual.
Our GK is about as error prone as yours, however ours doesn't have the excuses of being new and young. Surely there will be goals.

I can't see Spurs getting anything tbh. I just hope we don't get a demoralising drubbing. I think 3-2 to Utd is a good shout.

I'd be very happy if you started the defence you listed, Evans' career has stalled and he seems to make a lot of big mistakes. Bale and Lennon tend to do better in more open games and if the slower Jones plays at right back they should have plenty of opportunity. As for your midfield, the wings are very strong but there's reason to be optimistic when Anderson and Cleverley are only starting their second game together. I'd say your team is still a bit of an unkown quantity on paper, De Gea and the others could find their feet at any moment or they could continue to look nervous and show inexperience.

As for our injuries, I think we all expected Modric to be back for the Utd game but the coaching staff have played that down. FYI he would only be cuptied for Europa League not Champions League if he played for us last night. With Sandro, Palacios and Jenas also out that leaves Livermore and Huddlestone as our only proper centre mids that are fit, which is a bit of a worry. Apart from that, Gallas and King are injured as usual and that's about it, I think. My biggest concern is that we start Gomes, despite an easy match last night he still turned on the panic button on several occasions so I'd much rather Friedel.

Who knows. Eitherway Kaboul and Dawson worked well last night, not that they were kept very busy.

As bad as it may be for you the fact that Gallas and King are out is good news for us considering they are your two best centre halves. I don't think it will be a demoralising drubbing, that game last night would have filled you with great confidence and Bale, van der Vaart and Defoe will be very pleased to get off the mark in the first game of the season so they should be confident. It seems as though both of our back lines are depleted so that should mean goals. I think the battle will be won and lost in midfield and more importantly on the wings.

Both sides are known for their blistering wing play so the full backs need to be on guard. You reminded me that Bale will be playing there so perhaps Smalling could in fact start at right back. He is a lot quicker than Jones and has impressed there in the last 2 games.

I reckon the record of 0 wins in 20 games against us is becoming a mental issue with Spurs, especially at Old Trafford where you have been unlucky with refereeing decisions. Spurs have given us a tough time the past 3 years at home until ultimately we managed to win the games. But with our record against you and the fact we only dropped 2 points at home all season I think we should be confident of winning. I think the atmosphere should be decent as its the first home game and you lot will be up for it. What better way to start the season by beating the Champions?

Also I believe if a player plays in the Europa League he is ineligible for the Champions League group stages but can play in the knockout rounds afterwards.

A common misconception about Evans. Didn't start off last season very well and the emergence of Smalling meant that he didn't get many opportunites last season as much as he had the previous few seasons. He came back into the side towards the end of the season sometimes at left back even and looked back to his normal self. He is every bit as good as the two young English lads are and will become.

I believe that Smalling will start at RB, which isn't too bad. But I'd rather have Fabio there. I think we will need a natural RB instead of someone who is naturally a centre back as he does tend to get narrow sometimes, not good considering the width that Spurs usually have.

I also doubt that Anderson and Cleverley will start again in midfield on Monday. I fully expect Carrick and even Giggs to start, hopefully Fletcher will be on the bench but I'd go with Carrick and Ando in the middle of the park. We can't afford to give you the space that we afforded to WBA at times in midfield. Cleverley needs time to adjust the defensive side of his game and at the moment I believe that Carrick enables Anderson to play more of his natural game. Who can forget, he scored his first competitive United goal against Tottenham. ;)

Nah, the rules are different we looked them up awhile ago when I had that idea, the rules clearly state that they would only be cuptied for the same European competition that they played in.
