Time flies, I thought it was around April time but Google said otherwise! http://humberbusiness.com/news/first-look-inside-the-caffe-nero/story-3544-detail/story
Not City Centre but a Sports Bar and Papas takeaway being built on Kingswood: http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/whats-on/hull-fc-hull-kr-owners-391904 This is in addition to the Nandos currently being built there. Seems they're picking and choosing what they give planning permission to as they just rejected proposals for more shops there as they fear it'll damage the City Centre footfall.
I read this story yesterday. Surely the idea of a sports bar is that people drink for long periods of time, well who - apart from locals - is going to be able to do that on Kingswood? Far be it for me to tell these successful businessmen what to do but seems a bad location to me.
Not sure which thread it should go on but I would like to congratulate Hull Council Garening Department, or whatever moniker they have these days, for the splendid flower arrangement, yet again, around the fountain near to Queens Gardens. It all looks superb, the sunshine only made it all look so much better, these pictures were taken over the last weekend.

All well and good with BHS, it's dead in the middle of town and needs to be a focal point but... The bit at the back and above is owned by Manor Properties, the land bank cancer of Hull. How do we solve this age old unsolved problem?
Apparently, it's not actually owned by Manor Properties, they just had an exclusive option to develop the site, which has now expired.
