We were It was me that said people don't generally mean football messageboards when they refer to Social Media I still think that's the case, although I accept there a few notably odd exceptions
It only really counts if you can rank them by population of the city they're most popular in Don't worry though, Castro's on it
Wow. Haven’t heard of most of those! So there’s more ways to see more moronic ****e.... More is less for me. I’ve binned twitter, can’t get away from Facebook yet. I just don’t have time for it all
I worked it out thanks, and explained it too Sam Allardyce didn't say anything about footballers reading football message boards
Most of the ones you haven't heard of will just be the Chinese versions of the ones you have heard of, as China has a habit of blocking the originals.
Not a lot by looks of it. Come on BCC, ask any member of joe public what social media is and they'll say facebook, twitter, instagram, etc. You must know that.
I used to think Linkedin was just Facebook without the jokes, but it's worse, all I ever get on there is people trying to sell me services I don't need and 'what are you up to now' messages from people I used to deal with ten years ago.
What a shock, the transfer window has ended & still the transfer thread rattles on with another off topic argument!
What a pointless discussion, bordering on yet another enhanced disagreement/argument. Yes a lot, even most, people would think a message board as a form of social media, but the point I think originally was that most people will think of Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Whatsapp as social media way before they mentioned message boards, that is just simple common sense. So nobody is wrong but some more right based on the actual discussion being held. Now can we stop this bollox which is ruining yet another thread, albeit a thread that is naturally dying anyway.
Most definitely a pointless discussion. Demographic analysis has not been presented by any research authority, so far, except for the few opinions posted on here (all clearly skewed by their personal (demographically biased experiences)). I would not categorize, personally, any of the communication services highlighted as robust e-mail platforms (which by far are the most well known, and utilized, sub sets of today's social media platforms - gmail etc etc). They are shallow social media platforms. Perhaps that's the reason most people think of them first. I very much doubt it if those being questioned are over the age of (rough guess) 33 ! I'll be generous - over 25 ? It's indicative of a sad trend in some ways, positive in other ways (more communication - however shallow that may be). Pointless, as you say.
But that wasn't the discussion originally at all It was Jen deBais claiming that Sam Allardyce had told his players not to read football messageboards, then backing that up by saying that he'd said in his autobiography that there can be problems on Social Media (without being arsed to actually quote what he had said) Now stop dragging this thread out
