I'm not sure what I'd think of them now my sense of humour has become so much more cynical and a little warped but I'd like to watch them with my little girl and see if she likes them. I've noticed that she laughs when she sees people falling over and stuff like that so she might like a bit of classic slapstick.
As for the Ham Shank stuff, Sgt Bilko was canny. And I think the cast of that did the voices for Top Cat.
Talking about old ****, its not exactly a comedy, but The Day Of The Triffids is on Sky343 at the minute. That takes me back a way as well.

First few podcasts are a bit slow, a bit like a good series, then it just gets funnier. The fact his partner in crime is a Sunderland fan - Andy Dawson - should make it even more entertaining for you and others on here. There's a fair bit of North east ribbing and banter that goes on.
