    A soul DJ?
    Never heard of that.
    James Brown would be turning in his grave.

    Funk and soul DJs were around when James Brown was alive! Do you know anything about James Brown? He was all about influencing music, he always said there isn't record out there without a piece of him in it. His music inspired many many DJs all with his blessing, including DJ Kool Herc who in the late 70s was instrumental in bringing about Hip Hop when he started isolating drum beat and bass loops from heavy funk tracks which included many many James Brown tracks(With permission). Both alive and dead Jame Brown is the most sampled man on the planet. He was proud alive so he certainly would not be turning in his grave. He encouraged it<doh> Nice try on the casual put down though, but clearly you know Jack **** on the matter. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

    Just correcting you. James Brown loved being sampled and actually changed music when he dropped big time promoters and hired local DJs to promote inderviduall shows. This enabled him to take the entire doors and put the business side of music into the artists hands for the first time. Im not angry or anything, just preaching the gospil of the super heavy funk. :)

    No Bod, i'm not from GC, I'm from the Sunderland board. We've played Mafia games many times together on the mag board. <ok>

    You changed usernames?
    Or am I just suffering from onset alzheimers?
    <laugh>
    And I am not even on painkillers today, they usually leave me foggy as ****.

    I think James Brown was awesome.
    I will say though, I once saw him and Pavarotti do a duet which was ****ing awful, the two genres did not mix well at all.

    I change my username a lot fella. Always has a Bri or Funk reference in it though.

    Yeah, I've heard that, They did it's a mans world, agreed it's awful(Though Brown was still superb). I'm not Opera fan (Though I do enjoy a bit of classical from time to time, just nothing with vocals) Just glad it was a one off show and not put on wax.

    ALL the best Sky ... my own little pooch just turned a year old at the weekend and the thought of some twat's penis extension substitute damaging her would give me serious anger issues ... as you say, if it was one of my daughter's having to deal with that etc ... hope you lumped the bell end owner with the frying pan.
