I said none. I was right. I like being right. But I hate being right. I hate being a toon fan. I hate Ashley and I hate charnley. I want them to contract and std and itch forever until their balls drop off and then people can step on them...... just like they do to us right now.
I voted for 1 as I thought Kenedy was already pretty much a done deal. Honestly didn't realise I was being optimistic. FFS.
Doesn't matter how much we know the deadline day is, was and always will be a let down, we feel, erm, let down! It just varies between "meh" and yesterdays twitter bans. But we have to look at it in the context of everything. Everyone has been let down. Arsenal have had a shocker. Hudds seem to have added absolutely nobody I've ever heard of, same but in lower quantities for Brighton. This window has killed the market for a lot of clubs - it's basically the full fck you of FFP coupled with nobody getting a handle on an industry that is utterly out of control. We've had a ****e window, like a lot of clubs. I think we've been massively hindered by yet another Ashley cronie coming in with fck all experience bar having Mike's spunk up his back. Justin Barnes I believe killed the impetus and has added less than nothing to an already incompetent clown in Charnley. But we are where we are. These are not who Rafa wanted but at least they aren't someone else's choice. I read a lot of doom about having no left back available. Haidara, Clark and Mbemba can all do a job. It's hardly unusual with a 22 man squad (3 x GK makes the 25) to be down to 2nd or 3rd choice. Did we have the money for a first choice LB? No. Was Kennedy a decent shout for backup? Maybe. Is it the difference between staying up? Unlikely. I'm among the worst for pessimism, but I think everything has taken a weird turn for the worst. We need a year surviving then see what we do with the cash the likes of Stoke, West Brom and Bournemouth have had. Too much media favouritism doesn't help us. "Plucky" Swansea with the astonishing Sanchez coup. Why does nobody mention that the lad has zero experience, there's no option to buy and he's replaced one of the leagues best in Sigurdsson? It's all about what they choose to report. And even so, if we go down, so what? Anybody out there hate winning the league because we'd rather have a party once we get to 40 points year on year? Such is life I guess.
