I think what we need is for Rafa to walk. Honestly, **** this ****. I don't know if it'll be enough, but this needs to become a nightmare for Ashley as literally anything else has got to be better than him and his ludicrous one man board.
Have to say I'm surprised that anyone of sane mind, thought there would be any substantial signings today. Nothing has changed for weeks, so why today.
Rafa needs to have a word with Pardew for tips on how to deal with the transfer window, especially the final day, when Charnley plays hide and seek.
I don't want Rafa to leave, but if l thought it would be the catalyst to ousting Ashley, then it might be a price worth paying. Problem is, after 10 years, yes 10 fooking years of being crapped on by that fat piece of scum, we still trott back for more. Why would Ashley change tack now? He thinks he is untouchable and you know what, if history dictates, he probably is. Think back to all the nonsense and cringeworthy embarrassment he has put our club through. All the broken promises and just when we were in the best position to push on that we had been in for a decade, he pulls the rug yet again. Most want him gone, but the sad fact is that most won't do what is necessary to get him out. I actually believe he would survive Rafa walking out on the club, simply because of blind loyalty by the faithful. We don't desert the team. Don't get me wrong, l am not knocking loyalty through thick and thin, but l ask this question lads and lasses..... What exactly has Ashley got to do to make us walk away and not come back, and by that l mean en mass, not just a handful. An empty SJP, can any of you actually visualise that as a reality.
I genuinely can't think of anything that would result in an empty St James' and even if it did he probably wouldn't give a **** because he has the season ticket money and he would know it wouldn't last.
Well that means that it will never end, and l find the humiliation of both Benitez and our club unbearable.
The only way to get rid of Ashley is by forcing to lose his own money through association with the club. That means relegation and several seasons in the Championship without either tvmoney or parachute payments. The club needs to be losing money. In the PL ticket revenue is negligible. In the Championship it is important. Ashley does not give a ****. Sports Direct are making massive profits and his shares are his fortune. The club is a sideline, a means to an end. He will survive Rafa leaving because we will still get 50,000 crowds. He will continue to do what he is doing.
I agree, and I don't think it will ever end until some Chinese businessman with more money than sense decides to buy us. And that's not even getting into the discussion that it might not mean we were even any better off!!
