I was in the kitchen cooking and had the door open - went right overhead. Didn't hear them until they were over what looked like 3-400 feet above me. WOW are they loud. The whole house shook and the Dogs started barking
This is the picture I got from our garden a couple of years ago, when I was expecting them. From an iPhone again. please log in to view this image I was quite pleased with it
Yep we are on the flight path on the way out to the beach - So low that I can see the pilot in the cockpit!
Yep I really wouldn't live anywhere else. 21 Years ago I spent a summer working in a bar on a Greek Island...not a patch on here when the sun is out.
Great photo. The best place I have ever watched an air show, back in the 70s, was at Weston Super Mare. I was on top of Brean Down, (why do they call it Down, when it is up high?), which looks out over Weston S M bay. There were times when we were above the planes, that had swooped into the "arena". Superb viewing point. It was also a noisy holiday, as we were in a caravan park that was regularly overflown by jets, on the lead up to the show, presumably the Red Arrows on a recce. Here's a link for next year's show, if anyone is interested. https://westonairfestival.wordpress.com/
I was at the air festival at Lowestoft in 2002 when this happened! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/2168921.stm
