    60mil for a 29 year old with 1 year on contract. 35 for a 24 year old with 1 yesr left..

    =92 mil at a guy you bid 45 for a month ago

    You weren't going to sell to us and we weren't going to buy after the whole tapping up issue. January is a new window, Saints arnt going to want another sulk-a-thon from their top-defender destabilising their mid season team.

    Aside from the fact you've never claimed a player wasn't for sale and then threatened tapping up before

    Be different in Jan when the player still wants out and you can no longer accuse us of tapping up.

    Like I said wouldn't be surprised if he stays put. CL is a big draw and frankly Arsenal are on the down turn, why would a player give up CL this season and potentially next season too

    So if nobody else bids and you have a player that at best is only giving 50%... gonna keep him then if a £70m bid comes in from us?

    We all saw what happens when you try to use a player who doesn't want to be at a club on Sunday when Arsenal got thumped cause half their team weren't giving their best.
