Apparently Origi is off to Wolfsburg now as they'd rather not loan him to an EPL team and Oxlaide-Chamberlain to Liverpool seems to scupper the Kenedy deal. Might mean Gayle stay's.
Why not loan him to an EPL team? Assuming they're smart enough to include a clause that he can't play against his parent club (unlike us and LuaLua) he'd just increase the admittedly slim odds of us snatching a point against their rivals.

Very good centre half but ****ing ridiculous money. Not least his age as you say. I have to say, why? Chelsea could have bought Maguire this summer for less. West Brom made another two tidy signings today. The polish lad was excellent at Sevilla and never got a look in at PSG. Gibbs is a good option at left back. They will be safely in mid table minimum again this year. Pulis is so good defensively they might even surprise. The fees going around is going to make it difficult for us to survive this year. To be honest I think staying up would be a major feather in Rafas cap, just like it was Pardew's.
Latest non-story. Wayne Hennessy. I mean wtf is that about? Worse than Krul. Just put Woodman in nets. De Gea was playing CL football regularly at 19, Donnarumma at 18. U-20 World Cup and Golden Gloves winner on the books and we're after Hennessy. It's like an open invite to Everton.

Well, we've spent a net £14million this summer - money is going to be tight after such extravagence, even accounting for the Premier League riches. Seriously though, from what I remember of Targett he seemed pretty decent. Would make sense if we are trying to scratch enough together for a Praet or similar.
So, todays rumours already going into overdrive: Mahrez may be off to Chelsea, which might free up the tedious Kenedy deal. Rafa has decided to move for Zoet afterall, offering Krul plus a small sum of money. NUFC are launching a late bid to seal the deal for Tagliafico. Origi is off to Wolsburg. Jota is off to Birmingham. Remy is off to Las Palmas. NUFC are making a late move for Cenk Tosun, though possibly bidding less than Crystal Palace. Everton are in for Batshuayi. NUFC linked with move for Angers 3rd choice keeper Denis Petric. NUFC make loan move for Targett. Marseille out of race for Origi and are instead making a move for Mitrovic.
The way things are going we will probably see Gayle and Mitrovic gone with no player coming in to replace them, the usual comments about difficult transfer window and extreme values will then be trotted out by Charnley.
