Morning all. Rain was forecast overnight but none arrived. Rain was forecast for this morning, and despite there being plenty of dark clouds above they are not dispensing. I think there is a case for the earth to share it's riches more fairly.
It's gone! I feel like Pandora's box has been opened and I didn't get to see what was inside. Lovely girl, Pandora.
Good morning, Dave; good morning, all. Well it looks quite a nice day out there. I'm sure they said it was going to be lousy.
Morning all from a much cooler rural France. My granddaughter is 14 today, how time flies, so I will be spending much of the day with her. Birthday parties are for children and not very cool when you are a teenager, so a Birthday dinner is the thing these days she tells me. She is now typically French in that food is something to enjoy. Since she was cured out here of her milk allergy life at the table has taken on a different meaning for her. Because it was on her banned list for so long, she has never got used to the flavour of cheese, so she generally avoids it. Great shame with the array of different ones here.
Reminds me of the original Adrian Mole book, were his nickname for Pandora Braithwaite was "Box". I wish ITV had screened the dramatization of that book after Sue Townsend died.
It is a good time of the year here to restock the wine store. With space needed for new stocks, there are some bargains to be had. Plenty of bottles with a 50% discount. I tried a box of red from the local region a little while ago that was very good as an everyday drink. Today I grabbed another one at €7 for 5 litres. Judging by the way the shelf was emptying others had found it to be the same as me.

Morning all, it is quite Autumnal in my part of the world today. Last night the temperature dropped by some 10°C and this morning a heavy mist lay across the fields. I am not quite sure what is the difference between heavy mist and fog.
