Liverpool focused on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain deal after abandoning Thomas Lemar pursuit
  • Monaco want £75m for the France international, forcing the Reds to back down.

  • But club will continue attempts to sign Oxlade-Chamberlain after getting permission to leave Arsenal.
Southampton Yet to Receive Virgil van Dijk Offer

Despite Liverpool interest, no bid has yet been made.

I think LFC decided that after their apology aboout VVD they couldn't really submit an offer. That would have made a mockery of their apology which included a statement that they had dropped their interest.

It looks that we would get Ox (after salah) this summer and keita next.

Seems Lemar deal too difficult as he's training with France as they prepare to face Holland, also thr price keeps going up £75m atm - worth it?
When Arsenal bid, Monaco were adamant he wasn't for sale as they'd already sold a number of others. Only way to get him now would be to offer a huge price that probably isn't worth it.
Shame, but I don't think anyone else will be getting him this summer either. So go back and try again next summer might be the way forward.

i thought it was a bit of a long shot when they announced.

Ox is a bit mad

VVD is not happening

So from sunday we got our hopes raised massively only to be brought to the realisation that next year we will be stronger maybe but we need coutinho badly to get back up to speed now.
Didn't you have VVD as last minute tomorrow? No deadline rushes then.

He's another one who came to our attention out of nowhere and disappeared the same way.

Look at the time Klopp's been in charge

He clearly values attacking football and players over defence and defenders assessing the players he has bought. Philosophy is as long as we score more it's alright if we ship a few in the process

I would not be surprised if we don't make a defensive signing in the next 24 hours

Never normally watch Sky Sports, but I have to say this - that girl in the grey T-shirt next to Jim White has a cracking pair of knockers. :emoticon-0110-tongu
