Very simple the school should serve what they like with a vegetarian option for people that can't eat meat for whatever reason.
If the parents aren't satisfied give them packed lunch.

Point is still valid though. Banning food because of religion in a supposed developed country is ridiculous.

 

I think schools have some form of responsibility in looking after kids whilst in their care.

As a veggie I'm happy my parents could ask the school to not feed me meat/fish, I don't see why it should be different for religious groups. The total ban is only because it'd be too expensive to cater for everyone individually. They could just give those kids the veggie option though, but you ***** flesheaters get all upset if people take your meat away.

 

Still, your vegetarianism is your choice and yours alone. Banning other people from eating pork because you might offend some other kids parents based on their belief in the sky wizard, and this in one of the worlds most developed nations is ridiculous.

You want to be a veggie, ****, trans/non gender, muslim, scientoligist, then fine, but don't infringe other people's freedoms in doing so.
