If the ref didn't send him off because of his team-mates in that half, then they should have been in the 100m at the recent World Athletics Championships.

Good to see that Snorbans still have a 100% record in the league. There's no such thing as a draw for Hemel - they've scored in 3 games and won them all, and lost all 3 games when they haven't scored.

    Liverpool showing Arsenal no mercy!

Just shows how well we did to stay in the game and get a point.

He was playing as a centre back in fairness to him. That said, he was shocking. You're clearly wiser and more prudent than I, ofh. In this current 'crazy money' time, I thought it was good business.

He prefers to play in the centre, but is he tall enough to play in the middle in the PL? I think that he is better as a left back if in a back 4, or on the left side of a back 3.

Definitely. He might prefer to play as centre back, centre forward or Ophelia in Hamlet, but his best role is left back.

If Ophelia looked like Ake it explains why Hamlet didn't want to marry her, Polonius's actions and his untimely end also make make more sense.

I think that Ake looks more like Medusa at the exact moment she realised what Perseus was doing. It would explain the permanently stoned expression on Howe's face during matches.

I thought it was something to do with his formation skills.

I'm sure Brunel must have had some involvement with this. ;)

There's a thread waiting to happen here...footballers as characters from Shakespeare. Here's some to start:

    Nathan Ellington as Bottom
    Troy Deeney as Helen!!!!!
    Rio Ferdinand as himself

    Not to mention
    Stephano Okaka
Fessi Falstaff has a certain ring to it - or even Fessi Feste
Keiran Gibbs - the part of Shylock was made for him, apparently.

And of course who else for Romeo but John Terry... :)

Joey Barton would make a fine Lancelot Gobbo. For some reason I can see Mike Ashley as Sir Toby Belch. Phil Thompson might pass for Snout and it wouldn't take much for Paul Ince to transform himself into Peter Quince.
