Over 20k views says it's a popular thread, maybe we should have a Hull FC thread as a sticky :bandit:

We need someone like Adam Pearson at City

What's that you say? We did have? And we got rid of him?

Like Pearson, Barmby, Bruce and Silva.

Is there a common factor in the exit of these highly competent people?

    Just a point of interest.
Previous Wembley finals all the club wembley seats have been counted has full and fans have bought seats higher up.
This year it was general sale.
I believe The RFL have 9 more years of a 20 year agreement with Wembley
The crowds have dwindled lately .
It used to be the only show event for RL but now with the Grand Final and the Magic Weekend there's a choice

My Club Wembley membership has expired, so I didn't know they'd withdrawn it from the Club Wembley core events. Makes sense, barely any Club Wembley members turned up for the Challenge Cup final, despite the tickets technically having been sold. There's 16,500 seats on that tier, so the numbers are actually much better than they look.

No idea, my mates are the rugby fans not me, and at that particular time I was the only visible black & amber guy amongst a sea of black & white, red & white, which seeing as I lived down Hawthorn Ave then, I could watch the FC players fall out of Hawthorn Hotel and stagger off to the Boulevard for a match.

Really? You don't get my point then. First went to a RL game in 1968. Used to go to FC matches when I lived in Hull. Stopped going after the Brentford match.
A lot of admiration for the fitness, 5oughness and dedication of RL players which could teach players a thing or two.

FC were banned from playing at the Boulevard a couple of times before WW2 because of their violent fans. The paranoia only started in the 1980s.

If they were counting 16,500 before then previous figures were worse than they looked.

That may well be the case.
Either way 90,000 seats is a good 20,000 more than reasonably needed.

They used get 90,000+ regularly at the old Wembley. I though RL was an expanding, more popular than ever game?

I don't think Club Wembley includes the Challenge Cup Final now because this year all the club Wembley seats were on sale to the public, they never used to be.

Exactly; disposable income only goes so far - unless you are from Liverpool, allegedly ...

    ... that attendance is excellent.

There have been no other digs on here and frankly there wouldn't have been any at all if this thread hadn't been hijacked in the first place by the same old.

I do understand that people might not be able to get past all that. I wouldn't be that way inclined personally but I do understand it. Everyone behaves differently.

I think what you fail to understand is that this thread was in no way set up to rub any City fans noses in anything... so when an FC (and City) fan starts an off topic thread about Hull FC, wishing them luck for a cup final they WILL get defensive when someone belittles one of their clubs, exactly by your own logic above as with Hull City.

The difference being, when FC fans get defensive on here they are having an immediate defensive reaction in support of their RL team, when FC haters initiate by posting the same old boring **** they are instigating a reaction that didn't need to be instigated. I get your above point, but on here, right now, there was no need for anybody to start FC knocking right from page 1, regardless of past experience, as this thread was not set up to belittle Hull City. Clearly you see that?

And yes, this is a Hull City forum... but the thread is marked off topic... just don't click on it if you hate Hull FC. Piss easy.

Always excuses for poor attendances. Why haven't football crowds gone down, especially as it is a lot dearer following a football team.

Not interested in your mindless ****e, it's the sport I enjoy, there's no cup for any attendance levels. What is it drives you? You've had plenty of disappointment in your life, that's plain by the misery you seem determined to pass on to others.

He lacks any other interest in his life.
This appears to be his raison d'etre.
I'd leave him to it for a few weeks !!

And with that I think we can let this thread drift away into the ether.

All have had their say and it got boring ages ago.

    Back to football eh?
