But my point about the "oh we'll never win anyway so why bother" being a small club attitude had nothing to do with whether you thought Spurs could win the Champions League either. If you think winning a competition you're in makes you deluded then why the **** are you bothering.... unless you're a small club.
HIAG's not the club, but he didn't say that we wouldn't win it, just that he didn't think that we would. We might, but it's rather unlikely. That's a fairly uncontroversial statement. I wouldn't want our manager or any of our players to say it publicly, of course, but he's not one of them, as far as I know.
