Who'd have thought Jonny Evans would be the on demand CB this transfer window?! City, Arsenal and Leicester all want him.

Imagine a full strength squad with Mane, Salah, Firmino, Sturridge, Coutinho, Lemar, Lallana... damn.

Amazing options going forward.

Hes versatile frpm what I gather. Can play wide or in middle. Guess he's competition for Salah / Mane and Cout/Lallana in he middle. At the moment we have 3 non creative players in midfield so he'd a lot in nicely replacing one of them.

Its a squad game anyway. Look at city line up and bench. When they have their strongest line up they still have Aguero, b.silva, Sterling, Toure, gundogan, Danilo on their bench. Game changes who can come on and make a difference or seemlessly slot in to rotate the squad.

Now we dont have the money to be to be able to have 4/5 world class players on bench, but it's been a good number of years since we've had a bench that you look and say, yup 3/4 of them are genuine first team players.

Looking to next year, we'll assume Cout is sold we could have the following.

Mig
TAA Matip VVD Robertson
Keita Can Lemar
Salah Firm Mane

bench: Karius, Lovren, Clyne, Hendo, Lallana, Gini, Sturridge.

That doesnt even include gomez, Klavan, Moreno, Milner, woodburn, Origi. That's a nice squad list

I still think Couthino is gone this window. We've already spent £50m. If we are lucky enough to get VvD (which I still doubt), and Lemar (more possible) our spend would be over £200m. I'll be surprised if that's not reduced dramatically with the sales of Couthino and others.

After having sold more than purchased for several seasons we're just using up the money we've saved. <laugh>
