Link Hull frontman Stephen Hunt has blasted the slackers he believes cost the Tigers their Premier League status. Hunt has pointed his finger at some of the club’s highly-paid stars he felt did not give enough for the cause. He said: 'The desire of most players has been good enough, but the more money you get paid, the harder you should work. 'You’ve got to set an example and unfortunately not all players have done that.’
Just heard a whisper that Leicester are one of the championship teams looking at him, might make sense with their finances but could just as easily be bollocks. But if that is the case I'd assume the other team would be dipswich?
To the tune of Jimmy Mack.. Jimmy,s sacked, oh Jimmy oh Jimmys sacked, He,s never coming back. He, walked into the KC A massive contract and a dodgy knee The cheeky chappie from way down south Ended up a piss head, so he,s been booted out. Jimmy,s sacked, oh Jimmy oh Jimmys sacked, He,s never coming back.
Disappointing. Especially as all three men who orchestrated this probably won't be at the club this time next year. Ah well, life goes on. In the bottom half of the Championship.
Percy, don't you think that the club will have had legal advice from solicitors, barristers and/or a QC before taking the action they have? If their legal advisers are of the opinion that they had a strong case to terminate his contract don't you think you should re-consider your opinion? If the club was on weak grounds it would be the Allams who would pay 2 years' salary plus costs in excess of £1m so they wouldn't risk that without strong legal advice surely. You claim to be intelligent. Anyone with intelligence doesn't just stick to their opinion without re-considering the matter fully when new matters come to light.
Ive considered it fully on what little we all know and unless he has taken drugs then we cant terminate his contract. Poor little Jimmy only has to say he has a drink problem and we didnt support him and we are fuked.
You said it yourself Chazz - we don't know. If I was advising a client who had a potential liability of well over £2m I would advise extreme caution before doing anything that would be a breach of contract. The club must have been advised that they had a strong case for terminating the contract otherwise they would have gone down the severance/pay off route surely.
you say all poor little jimmy has to do is claim a drink problem. ok - witnesses from wigan, fulham and ipswich to say one way or other. further more - if he has got a drink problem, can he provide evidence he has been to rehab or seeking treatment. IF NOT and there is no evidence the club is in the clear. Now, Percy - you say the 3 men behind this will probably not be at the club next season, i presume you mean Allam, A Person and N Pearson - clever use of probably as come this time next season most fans probably think at least 2 of them will be at the club. and Percy, a favour please,- you talk about being in the bottom half, could you tell us where you think we will finish in the league assuming Nigel remains as manager
People should leave Percy alone, he seems brightish but we've got to remember he's just a nipper. He's got no life experience yet, give him 10 years and he'll realise what a load of rubbish he is talking (we've all been there, well the older members on the board). Typical of a lot of A level and uni students. Youth is wasted on the young eh?
I agree with both your posts Andy, the club must have had some solid foundation to carry out the sacking of JB or they'd risk being taken to the cleaners by Bullard, PFA had they nothing from JB which could be classed as a sackable offence. There may well be stuff we don't know about that went on behind the scenes, but for the sake of not disrupting the inquiry it was kept from public knowledge. All i'll say is at least this saga has finally reached the end and we can move on and find better use for the money that was going to JB's wages.
