According to the Chronicle, we want Jack Colback on loan from Newcastle. Defensive midfielder, good friends with Meyler, plays like him and all. Good cover and wages aren't huge.
I think he wants at least two for every position, in case of injury and for options off the bench. DM - Meyler, Colback, Stewart AM - Evandro, Henriksen, Toral Batty and Weir will go out on loan I reckon.
£7.5 m Aluko Fulham to Reading. £3.5 m Dicko Wolves to us. ??!! (Worringly my phone autocorrects Dicko to Sicko #mysticphone?)
I don't understand why Irvine reported so cheap , might have been discussed further up but is it a buyout clause? In the current market surely even Burton can afford to reject less than 2m?
Hull City have an interest in Colback and are ready to pay a portion of his wages on a loan deal. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spor...wcastle-united-hoping-finalise-grant-13543232
Those Newcastle fans don't like mackem Colback do they, he must be on a decent whack in the Premier League.
I like drawing parallels with the past, thus was thinking this Irvine could be our new Quinn - cheap, combatative midfielder who has, for some, potentially aggravating hair (bun over ginge). But if we get Colback, he's Quinn's spit isn't he? Like his bad Cooper or vice versa?
