    Good Morning Everyone,

    We're back online, and running.

The feds can't keep us down for long.

    Back to business...

Andy Lonergan is once again a Leeds Utd player...

The 33 year old will go through the formalities this morning at Thorp Arch.

The reason why we have signed another keeper is that Rob Green has departed to the John Smiths Stadium down the road.

Ekuban is having surgery on his ankle that he injured on his home debut and is likely to be out a while.

More important then, that we sign another striker before Thursday...

Pierre-Michel Lasogga has travelled to England with members of his family to discuss a transfer to an English club. Hamburg want to move him on before deadline day.

You may have read in the press in the last 48 hours that Villa are looking to hijack the deal.

Wolves too make up the trio of clubs who are now trying to sign him.

I know we should not sign him just because our rivals are, but I'll be gutted to miss out, after we've done all the running.

Evening from a sunny Queensland - 2 more days of winter left

Pawel would be a great addition and doesn't seem to need convincing that Leeds is a good option. Pierre-Michel would be good but tell me why is he having to think about it? surely he can't think the midlands is a better option? really? has he ever been there !!!!!!!

Andy back is a no brainer, good signing.

can somebody remember to pay the internet connection fees in future :emoticon-0148-yes:

I hope we get Lassoga as we were the ones who knew about him. His wages are huge so unless Hamburg pick up some of the costs we will dip out. If we dont get him I can see him at Villa or even Newcastle, Stoke, WBA. Why would you turn down the chance to bring in a freewheeling International striker for £1.7m?

Hugill & Geastede are now forgotten about thank god, but besides Lassoga we are talking to The Swedish Striker/winger so I expect a new signing up front within the next few hours

Eric Lassoga is on £50k per week so only chance we have is if Hamburg pay some of it. If Villa want to pay it all Lassoga gets no choice so he needs to drop his wage demand if he wants to play for Leeds

Good Morning Matt from a very dull Bardsey
I have a feeling that its is agent who is mentioning other clubs to raise the anti I still believe we will sign both players
remember we have got rid of at least 5 forwards Wood Antonsson Doukara Wilks and Erwin fingers crossed
Finally a thought we had 5 players on a one year contract this has been reduced to 1 Dallas so unless he signs a new deal by Thursday I would expect him to be sold to Norwich

If he chooses to sign for another club he is not the player we want anyway.

£50k a week I'll have to go and see the boss "more pay, longer holidays fewer hours" downside I suppose you have to work weekends and evenings

I thought Hamburg were going to subsidise the weekly pay for this season on a loan/ option to buy deal or is that the sticking point? others may be willing to buy now.

Really though do we need to buy somebody to have a great team, Pawel and the liverpool winger on loan and we are more than set till Christmas?

Morning all. Better post quick before site goes tits up again. Surely, if Villa agree to pay all of Lassogas wage, then thats us dead in the water? Anyway, Im not bothered about players who leave or fail to sign. Only interested in those that pull on the Leeds jersey as they are the only ones that can impact our season. Word of caution, guess where the Rad is today? Japan. Why the hell did he go there just when Kore start firing missiles at them. Wouldnt that just be our luck when weve finally managed to get a proper owner eh

Eric as Eire says we get no option as Hamburg will accept a deal to get him off their books and whoever agrees to pay his wages gets him. hamburg will only accept paying some of his wages if we are the last team wanting him. Lassoga's only option then is for him to accept a drop in wages & Leeds would pay cash up front for him so Hamburg are quids in.

Is Roofe worth a punt as a striker? I think not, unless we are playing a 4-4-2, so we only have Grot at the moment so need a striker as Ekuban is also out of action. We are minted with money this season compared to previous seasons. We have Taylor money, Wood money, Bridcutt money, savings on their wages, Antonson off the wage bill, probably got Rose sell on money to come too.. Grot cost peanuts and Lassoga will be peanuts too

Mate, I agree I think Pawel and Pierre-Michel (If he wants to be part of this) and the scouse guy perhaps if Stuart leaves but keep most of the cash in the bank till Christmas, if needed.

If the club showed the same ambition as the fans, we'd be champions of Europe - again (perhaps an update is required?)

Eire it's Doc signature you and I are quoting it was just a suggestion that, perhaps, the club is actually showing the ambitions that are aligned with those of the fans

Leeds are not looking at Dwight Gayle, Danny Ings or Nhaki Wells because all 3 are way over valued. Value for money in Lassoga & the swede with the dodgy surname, so these 2 are still in the running

I think we are doing this in a correct manner premiership players are on premiership money but are they any better than some young gun who is hungry to succeed that is the ?
Look at Villa paying Terry 80k a week has he shown his class NO why bother when he gets that kind of money more fool Villa
If Villa are stupid enough to pay the German 45k a week then they deserve him and I for one will breathe a sigh of relief as he doesn't really want to play for anybody he only wants money so I would send him and his Mummy back to where they came from!

morning all ... Orta has stated that UK-based players are massively over valued, and that the Leeds blueprint is to find young talent on the continent and build that way .... so far this approach has been spot on ... about the whole Gestede thing, neither Leeds nor Boro have actually confirmed that a bid was made by Leeds and rejected, so for me this is a "two plus two" story that the media has cobbled together ... we don't find out about bids Leeds have made until it's an agreed deal, Orta has made it clear that Leeds do business confidentially and expect the same from the people they deal with ... look at how he praised Alioski's agent for his professionalism

Radz is in Japan to kick off the Leeds United Development Strategy there, having recently appointed an ex-Japanese international as Head of Football Development in Asia ... this is a market that has quite rightly been identified as one with huge potential, so Leeds are looking to build the brand out there ... great move http://bit.ly/2xJmWsB

Lasogga will be tough to get if Villa enter the picture ... they are desperate, and they will pay his £50k per week without blinking ... if this happens, then we carry on ... TC has been adamant that he only wants players who want to be at Leeds ... he stated this emphatically when asked about Green, Wood and Bridcutt leaving, and if you look at how together this squad is, then it's obvious that he won't tolerate players who sulk when benched ... Vieira looked sharp when he came on against Forest, and we haven't heard him moan once about being left out ... this squad is pulling together, the players seem to understand that everyone has to contribute all the time no matter who is selected in the starting eleven ... a real foundation for success, and it makes you wonder if disharmony affected the dressing room under Monk and contributed to the drop in performances

Bully's right to mention disharmony in the dressing room because obviously something happened last January. Story of a fall out between Monk & Pontus with Pontus being left out. Clotet not speaking to Monk since a fall out in December explains quite a ot and Clotet not following Monk.... we were dire from December to the end of the season so for me there was dressing room problems.

Reason why I'm wary about Lasogga and actually more excited about Cibicki. Apparently Orta is going to meet up with Lasogga so will have to trust that if he thinks mentally he's not a good fit then we'll avoid.
