Alexis Sanchez has been given permission to leave Chile's training camp. Must be a bout of the "flu" again I have to say: kudos to Arsenal for making us look competent year after year.
Barca have made Levy look like the Transfer Window God King this window with their combination of their bungled tapping-up of Coutinho, letting Tello go for peanuts, going the full Ian Malcolm by being so preoccupied knowing they could sign Deulofeu for €12M that they didn't stop to think if they should, managing to give seven different teams a cut of the fee for a player who was playing in the Chinese Super League for a damn good reason, PSG having a prison romance at their expense to sign Neymar, and the team being so pissed off with the board's handling of the business end that both Iniesta and Messi have started playing contract extension chicken. I'm sure that even Harry Hotspur might say that was marginally worse than our summer...
Not at Wembley he isn't. ITKs are telling me that Pochettino is thinking of squad rotation where Sidney plays in the home games and rcl the away games.
Agree on Lemar. Don't know much about Meyer but sounds good from what I've read. I really like King and think he'd be great competition for Harry, the fact he's completely different in style is also a bonus. Cherries supposedly wanted £35m+ for him which we laughed at but having realised that Harry does indeed need some cover at times (and Vinny isn't the answer), I wonder if Levy/ Poch might fancy going back in? Gray isn't happy at Leicester so there could be a possibility. Mahrez I've got a sneaky suspicion could be someone we pursue on deadline day. I reckon it's a "watch this space" sort of thing with him.
This site saves me from a severe beating from Mrs RCL on a regular basis...there is no way she wouldn't snap if she along had to tolerate my inane ramblings
King looks like he could be useful in a wide position too. He breaks with the ball at speed and covers ground really well. It's just the price. It'd depend on how much we were recouping with Janssen, I guess. Mahrez would be amazing. Still only 26, and a real "spurs" type of player, IMO. He's remained professional at Leicester, despite not wanting to be there. He'd be an incredible acquisition for us, but all I've seen this summer is that he's not a target for us.
Actual likelihood: We let them have Balde Liverpool sign Lemar Sissoko is appointed club captain Kane breaks his leg playing for England In all seriousness, Monaco just signed Jovetic from Inter, so the simpler transfer triangle is Inter replacing him with Balde and Monaco telling Liverpool to **** off. Hopefully.
Spoke too soon. Monaco agree a £28m fee with Lazio for Balde. I sincerely hope this doesn't mean Lemar to Anfield. They look frightening enough up front as it is.
Come on let's get Renato Sanches in ffs Oh **** off Levy Come on Levy well played son Oh **** off Levy Sort it out, ****
The Fail are saying that forward William Jose of Real Sociedad is a deadline day target for us. Apparently Diop has completed his move to Lyon.
The Mail have decided that Tashan Oakley-Booth being on the bench against Burnley means that Poch has decided to give him a chance instead of sign Pape Chekh Diop. I'll let someone else poke holes in this one...
