Did anyone else happen to see that Mr Dann was not even named in the squad for Birmingham this evening?
Would be good, because he's great backup and won't mind sitting on the bench all season unlike others.
He's been great for birmingham the last couple of seasons. Would be a good and relatively cheap signing for us.
he does seem to tick the arsene transfer signing policy boxes, young, and cheapish with a good deal of potential
So we won't sign him then. We've already had one young success this transfer window (Jenkinson, he seems really promising) so we'll sign some foreign pile of ****e.
I suppose its a possibility, but guessing on Arsenal transfers is a risky business indeed. time will tell i guess, just thought it was interesting that he was omitted entirely from the squad and i dont think he is injured at all.
We are better off playing a traffic cone than Squillaci. With the long list of charities Arsenal FC support, one more in Squilaci wont matter........
With Squillaci and Almunia in defence and goal we may as well change the red and white of our uniform to a red and white tent and give free admission to the public. Change the name of The Emirates to the Big Top. Sell candy floss and Wenger can be the chief impresario with a carnation in his buttonhole. Bendtner etc can come out on unicycles juggling skittles as they go.
Check out his points/position on any fantasy football site from last season. Injury apart, he seems more than able.
Lets look at him via stats. In all competitons when he was playing Birmingam let in 26 goals in 27 games. And without him they let in 40 goals in 22. In the prem they let in 18 goals in 21 games with him and after he got injured Birmingam conceded 33 goals in 17.
